A little social media post for those likes/comments on various reels and posts here on FB

I have somehow ended up with a few different little corners of the internet… 😂 So if you ever wonder where a reel or post has come from, here’s the lowdown:

🌿 it’s been around a while (2015)
My new workshop, creative mess and the place where the BIG projects happen! 🪚🎨 There’s plenty of upcycling, making, experimenting and probably a fair amount of sawdust. 😂 In the future, I’m hoping to host some lovely, intimate creative workshops here too.

This is my first home — filled with thrifted goodies, interiors, upcycling and all the little corners of cosy that make a house feel like home. 🤎

🎨
The quieter, smaller side of my creativity — little sketches, free art, smaller makes and things that eventually find their way into my online shop. 🌸

🐾 And then there’s my personal account, which is much more of a memory bank — little adventures with friends and family, days out, the dogs and all the random moments in between. 🥰

I’m genuinely so grateful for all the likes, comments, shares and follows — especially when my reels automatically feed through to Facebook. I am always grateful seeing people supporting the different things I’m creating, even when you’re just giving something a quick like or stopping to watch. 🙏

So thank you for being here, wherever you’ve found me. 🤍

A little favour from my friends and family...and of course followers & customers

Over the summer I've been working on growing something that's been sitting in my heart for a long time — The Little Daisy Shed

It's where I'll be sharing furniture revamps, home styling ideas, creative projects, workshop plans and all the behind-the-scenes chaos of turning a workshop full of ideas into something real.

I've got less than 6 weeks before I return to teaching in September, and my goal is to get some momentum behind the business, build a community, and launch a few workshops and creative projects before the school year starts.

WORKSHOP UPDATE: Part 3! 🛠️✨officially making moves! The flooring is going down… it’s so heavy 😥 and the rest of the walls are finally getting painted. It’s starting to look like a proper workspace.Here’s the lowdown on the floor: I went with reclaimed rubber matting.🧼 It’s incredibly easy to clean up sawdust and upholstery clippings.👟 It is SO much softer on my feet for those long days standing at the bench.Next job on the list? I need to get some heavy-duty wheels on the workbench so I can easily spin it around and move it when I’m working on big pieces. 🔄The dream is slowly coming together, one square foot at a time!👇 Tradies/DIYers: Give me your best caster wheel recommendations! Do I go for locking ones on all four corners? Let me know below!

🌿 Hi, I’m the person behind The Little Daisy Shed. I’m a millennial who somehow turned a bottom drawer full of “that might come in handy one day” treasures into a shed... then into a home... and now into a workshop.

I’ve never believed a home should just follow trends.

I think it should tell a story.

I’m the person who notices the little things...
The colours.
The textures.
The worn edges.
The pieces others walks past.

Where others see something ready for the skip...
I see possibility. A solution.

By day, I’m a secondary Design & Technology teacher.

Outside of school, I’m happiest making, restoring, creating and moving!

You’ll usually find me...

🤍 planning a project

The Little Daisy Shed first began back in 2015.

Life changed.
Teaching became my career.
The business became something I quietly tucked away.

But I’ve learnt that careers aren’t always linear.

We’re allowed to have passions outside the main job.

Sometimes those passions are the things that make us feel most like ourselves.

So this doesn’t feel like starting over...

It feels like coming home. 🌼

Mission 1: Clean the workshop 🛠️

Today’s achievement: made a dent… and uncovered tools I forgot I had (so basically like Christmas, but dusty).
