A late night of top quality darts saw some outstanding matches played throughout the evening in the finals night of the 2026 league singles, with many ties going over 4 or 5 legs in a superb standard of competition from start to finish.
The tournament began with a strong field of 16 players, with Brian Belshaw immediately showing the form that saw him qualify so impressively last week. Wins over D. Wilson, C. Robison and B. Hughes booked his place in the final, where he faced another in-form player in I. Maxwell Jnr, who had battled through victories against D. Bell, P. Stitt and R. Hutchison to reach the decider.
In the end, Brian Belshaw carried his momentum all the way through the night to claim the 2026 League Singles title after a fantastic run and a series of high quality performances on the oche. Congratulations to Brian on a deserved title win, and well played to all players involved for producing a brilliant night of darts.
A huge thank you also goes to Bill Imrie and everyone at the Normandy Bar for hosting the finals night, and for keeping the players fed and watered throughout the evening. Your hospitality and support is greatly appreciated. 🎯
