Friday Morning Sewcials – The Place to Be! 🧵☕🍪

You all love our Friday morning social sewing sessions so much that you don't want to leave… so we listened! From now on, our Friday Sewcials have been extended from 2 hours to 3 hours to give you even more time to sew, chat and unwind.

This Friday morning has ONE SPACE LEFT, and July bookings are now open too!

Bring along your latest project and come and see what all the fuss is about. Expect fun vibes, plenty of tea and coffee, our famous biscuit selection, and, of course, great chat courtesy of Sandra! 😂

Sewcials are a chance to work on your own project, use the studio equipment, sew with like minded people and have a great time. They are self-led sessions and not 'taught' classes but there will be a tutor on hand if you need a little advice along the way.

Dressmaking Club – Is It for You?

Our newest club launches in August, and there's a space with your name on it! Meet the Dressmaking Club!

Join Sandra and Laura in the Studio on Wednesday evenings 6-8pm for some dressmaking fun. Whether you're completely new to dressmaking or a seasoned Sewist looking to dedicate regular time to your projects, this club is for you.

Work at your own pace on projects of your choice, with guidance and support available whenever you need it.

The club runs on a rolling 4-week basis, with the first two 4-week blocks available to book now. If you'd like to continue after your initial block, you'll be given first refusal on your place before any remaining spaces are opened to everyone else.

Come along, get creative, and enjoy sewing in a relaxed, supportive environment!

What on earth is English Paper Piecing… and why do so many people become completely obsessed with it? 🧵✨

It’s a wonderfully addictive form of hand sewing where you wrap fabric around paper shapes and stitch them together to create beautiful patchwork. The most famous shape is the hexagon, but once you start, there’s a whole world of possibilities!

The best bit? You can do it almost anywhere. On the sofa, in the garden, on holiday, with a cuppa in hand… it’s slow stitching at its finest and ridiculously satisfying.

Sandra recently taught EPP to a tour group of 35 quilters and came away convinced that Dundee needed a bit more hexie happiness.

So, we’re bringing it back!
