Another big bag of beautiful work from my Jewellers Academy students! ✨
Term 3 always seems to come around so quickly, and I'm currently working my way through their final projects and assessments. It's always such a privilege to see how far students have come throughout the course and to celebrate the incredible pieces they create.
This year feels especially bittersweet, as it will be my final round of marking and feedback for Jessica Rose | Jewellers Academy
After five wonderful years of mentoring alongside running my own business, I've made the decision to step back and focus on creating a little more balance in my life.
The last few years have brought a number of personal challenges, and I've realised that I need to make more space for my own wellbeing and creativity. Taking on less is never an easy decision, but it feels like the right one for me at this stage.
It's been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I've loved supporting students on their jewellery-making journeys. Watching their confidence and skills grow, and seeing where their careers take them afterwards, has been truly inspiring.
I've had the pleasure of meeting so many talented and lovely people from all over the world, and I'm grateful to have stayed connected with many of them.
To all the students I've mentored: thank you. It's been an absolute pleasure to be part of your journey. ❤️
So, what's next?
I'm hoping that by creating a little more space in my schedule, I'll be able to focus on my own wellbeing, grow my business, and continue doing what I love. I'll still be making commissions and teaching classes, but with a little more flexibility and creative headspace.
Here's to new chapters, exciting opportunities, and lots more jewellery making ahead. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. ✨❤️
