💛 What a week… I went AWOL 🫶🏻
The last week of August was honestly completely overwhelming. I took Sunday off and did absolutely nothing, which I think my head desperately needed.
Monday came around, the shop was VERY quiet and I found myself getting stressed about life, running my own business and wondering… should I keep going?
Then Monday night turned into Tuesday morning, and my lovely Nellie decided it was time to have her puppies. After a long day/night, we finally welcomed 7 beautiful, healthy puppies midnight Tuesday into Wednesday am. 🐾💕
Nellie is very tired, but she and all seven babies are doing brilliantly. 🐶
So I made the decision to take Tuesday and Wednesday off. (Lack of sleep and mainly the rain ☔️ ) Truthfully, I just couldn’t face the shop, and I couldn’t even face posting about it because I worried about the judgement that can sometimes come with being a small business owner and choosing to close. ☹️
But sometimes life happens. Sometimes you need to step away, breathe and deal with what really matters.
And I think that’s the thing about feeling overwhelmed. It reminds us that we are stronger than we sometimes realise. I know I get overwhelmed, but I also know that somehow, I always manage. I take a breath, work through it and keep going. I found myself ironing today and remembering how much it relaxes me, weird I know 🤣
Anyway, now… we’re back. ❤️
Allsortz will be open again tomorrow, Thursday 3rd September 10-5
Thank you, as always, for supporting my little business and for understanding that behind the shop, the posts and the products, there’s just me doing my best. 🥰
And for now, I think I’ll just enjoy staring at the little puppies cuddling their mummy ! 🐾💕 because OMG 😍
