✨ Meet Abi, one of our wonderful in-house seamstresses! ✨

🧵 How did you first get into sewing?

I started sewing at school and absolutely loved it. By Year 11, I was ready for more of a challenge, so I made my own prom dress! I also created costumes for the dance and musical productions I performed in, before going on to study sewing at degree level.

🤍 Who inspired you to pursue it as a career?

It wasn’t one specific person, it was simply because I loved it so much. I find it incredibly satisfying creating beautiful garments and bringing them to life.

✨ What do you love most about being a seamstress?

Making a dress fit just so. Seeing a bride’s face light up when she feels amazing in her dress is the most rewarding part of my job.

💫 What’s one fun fact about you that our brides might not know?

Before working in bridal, I made dresses and costumes for Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice and Britain’s Got Talent! It was an amazing experience and one I’ll never forget.

We’re so lucky to have such talented people helping make every bride feel her absolute best. 🤍

A little preparation can make your bridal appointment feel even more special and help you get the very best out of your experience with us.

Here are a few of our top tips before you visit:
• Save inspiration photos of dresses and styles you love
• Browse our website before your appointment for inspiration and create a little wishlist of your favourite gowns
• Wear n**e, seamless underwear if possible
• Keep makeup minimal to help protect the dresses
• Bring the people whose opinions matter most, we find 3 guests max is ideal for a relaxed, enjoyable appointment
• Keep an open mind, sometimes the dress you least expect becomes the one ✨

Most importantly, enjoy every second of it 🤍 Finding your dress should feel exciting, memorable and completely you.
