Is it very terrible that it is almost midday and I’m still in my pyjamas? The problem is I’ll have my breakfast and then think, “I’ll just do a few minutes stitching,” and the next thing you know is it’s almost time for lunch.
I love May, the garden always seems to be at its best and there is so much promise in the new leaves, buds and seeds sprouting in the greenhouse. The herbaceous borders are inspiring my new designs. This is a completely new format for me, 18 count canvas, which seems to be ideal for needlepoint using the full six strands of embroidery thread. I can use my favourite colour palettes and there is a beautiful sheen to the finished work.
The plan is to make these designs available as printed canvases so you can work them in your own favourite threads, although there will be a guide for anyone who would like to use my selection. Fingers crossed they will be ready this autumn.
Anyway, I’ve had my stitching fix this morning, now for some paperwork :(
