This bride brought an heirloom dress to me that her grandmother, mother and cousin had all worn before. Each time slight alterations or additions were made. The only original part is the skirt, which as you can see got very wrinkly in the car going to the church! Modern fabrics would probably have been a bit more forgiving. But she assured me she had a wonderful day and felt like she had her grandmother with her in spirit.

Now that weddings have calmed down, I'm back in upholstery mode. Little upgrade projects for clients. Recovering kitchen bar stools is well worth doing when the frames are still in great condition.

Sewing machine upgraded! Was having lots of issues with the old girl, so upgraded her with this sparkly new Juki . My old Singer was very moany and groaned on all the time. This little baby is quiet, speedy and such neat stitching. So good having efficient equipment!
