Bit late to this one as my time is squeezed beyond words at the minute but wow, loved looking back on 2016!

Turns out it was a very big year.. first time travelling, first home with Sam, first studio (which is a stretch to call it that but fake it til you make it), first industrial sewing machine, first fur gilet made, first training session with Brian my mentor.. here's to the next 10 ✌️

A bit late to the party but wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas 🎅 This Christmas has been extra special as our little girl Wren is here and Ralph has been loving seeing all of his family so much. 🧡

I hope everyone can enjoy some down time before the New Year. I personally LOVE January as it's a month of being slow and cosy and feeling hopeful for the year ahead and what it could bring. ✨️

Well I have some news for you all! Our little girl, Wren Esther Lowe, made an early appearance last Wednesday at home 💗✨️ It was the most incredible experience bringing our little lady into the world at home with Sam by my side.

Ralph is already a very loving big brother. He frequently gives her kisses and hugs and rocks her to sleep saying "shhhh" 😆 Very much taking it easy this time around and enjoying our baby bubble. 💖

The last few weeks have been busy ✨️

1+2- Christmas stocking orders. It felt very luxurious to launch a new product just before maternity leave but I'm so glad I did. They are so ridiculously cute and it has felt so good to do something creative for me!
3 - A fox fur runner I made for a client, this photo is before it was finished but I'm super chuffed with how it came out. Can't wait to show you guys. We paired it with a gorgeous heavy weight tumbled linen fabric.
4 -A fur throw in the making for a client from their old coat. This will be picked up again once I'm back from maternity leave, already excited for it.
5 + 6 - Another commission for a client using their mother in laws old fur coat backed in black leather from in the Borders. Loved the original old French label on this one too.

I'm delighted to be spending my final working days sewing up little velvet and fur stockings for people. Sorry to those who missed out on ordering one, but I had to close orders earlier than anticipated to make sure I get some down time before baby. Unless they arrive early in which case I'm screwed 😆

I had planned to keep my online shop open longer but I still have fur commissions to finish up and honestly, I'm so tired with this pregnancy 🙃 I still need to pack up and move out of my studio too, and find time to rest before baby arrives.

Emma has been such a big supporter of my business for so many years, not just purchasing my creations but I have also bought lots of fabric remnants from her over the years. She's a woman in business I look up to and admire so to be stocked in this gorgeous showroom and shop is definitely a highlight of the year for me. 🌟

The Christmas Mini Stockings are now live! What will you stock in yours? 🎅✨️ You can fit tiny little gifts inside these cuties 😍

Each stocking is made from remnant velvet and recycled vintage fur. The embroidery is done by local business Dunbar T Shirt shop, who have been brilliant at accommodating my strange requests 😆

All stockings are made to order and will be ready to ship/collect by the end of October. There is a longer lead time on these as I still need to finish lots of commissions as well as pack up my studio, move into my next one (fingers crossed) and also make all your stocking orders!

✨️ New Product Launch ✨️

Introducing the mini christmas stocking which will be online this Thursday 25th September at 8pm. Newsletter subscribers will be getting early access at 7pm, to sign up, head over to my website.

Each little stocking is handmade using surplus velvets and recycled vintage fur.

They come in a myriad of colours and can be done with or without fur. Choose from a selection of festive words like "Yule", "Prick" or my personal favourite "Slag." I also have a customisable option to add your own word/name or you can buy them plain ✨️

Very excited about these wee delights. You can fit chocolates or lipstick inside them too! Hope you love them x

I have a lot to catch you guys up on! First up is a commission from a few months ago, a massive fur throw made for a client from 6 fur coats and jackets, some spanning back three generations.

This job was a challenge due to the sheer size and weight but also figuring out a lay out that would tie together all the different types of fur and textures. My clients brief was "games of thrones style." She has since named this throw "The Beast" as it's so large 😆

Well hello everyone! Big update incoming!

I've been absolutely loving my digital detox, it's something I'm going to continue as I've halved my screen time. I'll still keep instagram as I want to keep up with all the amazing people I follow. Ill do maybe a monthly update, but I'll be deleting the app from my phone for the most part to keep me from doom scrolling!

But I'm here to give you updates before I flit off again. The big one being I'm pregnant again! I'm due in November, and will be hoping to finish work in October. This means I am giving up my fab wee studio at Dukes, which I'm super sad about! However my gorgeous husband Sam is currently building me a studio in the garden, which is very exciting.

I've been very busy working away on 2 of my biggest projects to date, one being a throw made from 6 fur jackets (pic 2) and another being a throw made from 3 pale mink furs (pic 6 +7.)

Amongst these projects are smaller ones like a commissioned bespoke bag for a 60th (pic 3) and a fox fur scarf with tassel (pic 4.) And you know I'll always make time to take photos of Jules snoozing 🤣

I'm off for a much needed digital detox. Not sure when I'll be back, maybe next week, maybe next month. I am still here working very hard (amidst juggling mum life etc etc.)

If you want to get irregular updates you can sign up to my mailing list, although I'm yet to send out a newsletter this year. I will be updating my website blog as usual with my latest commissions. My waiting list is now closed for 2025 and will re open in 2026.

I love the community on socials but for various reasons some time out from socials is very much required.
