Happy International Tiger Day from Tiger Ink!

Back in 2024 we decided that we wanted to get involved and help fund tiger protection projects run by the World Wildlife Fund. So what did we do?
We adopted a tiger!

Sadly, tiger populations have declined by around 95% since the beginning of the 20th Century aided by threats such as;

🐯 poaching
🐯 illegal wildlife trade
🐯 loss of habitat
🐯 loss of prey due to habitat deterioration and hunting

WWF adoption helps;

🐯 secure well-managed protected areas
🐯 restore areas of habitat,
🐯 strengthen anti-poaching patrols around protected areas
🐯 facilitate camera trap surveys to track population trends

Did you know;

🐯 Tigers have 6 senses not 5. The roof of their mouth can analyze smells – like smelling in HD!
🐯 Tiger wee smells like buttered popcorn - (we’ll take their word for it!
🐯 If you shaved a tiger’s fur off it’s distinctive stripes would still be visible

August is nearly here, which means it's time for one of our favourite summer traditions here at Tiger Towers!

Just as we've done in previous years, we'll be swapping our usual 1pm Friday finish for Fridays off throughout August. It's a great opportunity for us to recharge, spend time with family and friends and make the most of the summer! 🏖️

That said, it's business as usual Monday to Thursday, so you can rest assured we'll be working just as hard as ever to look after all your printing needs, providing the level of customer service that comes as standard with Tiger Ink.

Kate's highlight without doubt last week was the Yellow Tuxedo Funpreneurs Big Day Out at Paultons Park 🦉🦉

As the third annual FBDO you’d think they might be running out of ideas for non-businessy networking but once again they managed to bring the crazy 💥

From a mammoth game of rock paper scissors which was loud, chaotic and hilarious in equal measure to a team challenge which involved creating a video in and around the park with a pineapple (ours was called Jeffrey, why not).

Great conversations, naturally happening whilst walking round the park, screaming (or in Kate's case laughing) all the way round a rollercoaster, or taking park in a ridiculous challenge 😂

Loved catching up with people not seen in a while, meeting some irl for the very first time and lots of lovely new funpreneurs who will no doubt be at next year’s!

Massive thanks to Alan and Emily for organising this legendary annual event, all the effort which goes into it (mainly down to Emily 😉) is much appreciated, and of course to Vicki for holding the fort while I skived off! 🐯

It may be Volunteers Week this week but last week I spent the morning volunteering at Trinity Wi******er.

I was amazed at the amount of food donated by local shops and organisations - great to see it go to good use and not just thrown away! 👏

We spent the morning in the kitchen busy chopping, grating, prepping and serving lunch for members of the local community. 👩‍🍳

They are an amazing organisation supporting people dealing with the effects of homelessness, addiction, physical and mental ill health, poverty, social isolation and domestic abuse.

They run lots of events and fundraising opportunities. If you fancy taking part in their Big Sleep Out event on 19th June you can sign up on the website! Vicki West and I took part several years ago! 📦

Two Queen Vics, Prince Albert, a plucky pheasant and loads of merch!

It’s time for our annual promo merchandise catalogue launch and we were recently invited to the awards and lunch launch event at the rather lovely Rushton Hall near Kettering. Impressive, I know 🤩

As always, it was definitely worth the trip - a lovely lunch and great meeting up with some of our trusty suppliers who were exhibiting their new products for this year’s launch. What’s not to love!

You can’t beat seeing merch in the flesh to appreciate the quality and vast range we have at our fingertips!

To top off the swankiness, the event was hosted by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert! So it really was quite the fancy pants day out. 🤣

The icing on the cake of course was the swag bag of justice filled with lots of samples from our suppliers.
