This pair was inspired by the Kevin Bridges documentary In Search of the Beautiful Game. I wanted to take these pictures down at the local park but they’ve taken the goals down for the summer, whilst the kids are on their summer holidays and could be using them. Ironically the documentary had a whole segment where it discussed how Scotland discourages kids to play football with things like “no ball games” signs etc🙄

Before the documentary I was aware of the 1953 Hibs tour of Brazil that changed Brazilian football forever and assisted them in winning their third World Cup in 1970. Hibs left a massive impact with our high pace tempo and positional style, famously earning a whole chapter in the Brazilian football encyclopaedia.

What I didn’t know was that the first organised games were put together by a Scotsman and eventually their league was formed by a Brazilian born son of a Scotsman.

We may be an underwhelming side these days but our impact is undeniable 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇧🇷

Originally a pair of BC Trainer. Some of the changes are very subtle although tricky and time consuming. All of the blue stitching was replaced with white contrasting stitching. The yellow stitching was removed and replaced with light green, along with stitching the soles. Heel logos added and vintage 90s dimple tongues fitted. Toe box waxed and finished with “Escócia” lettering which is Scotland in Portuguese.

All stitching done by hand, got a home colour way pair in the works also
