Paradaiza Just Common People Doing the Uncommon. Sustainably Made | Effortlessly Cool

Edinburgh, Scotland. Our new Stockbridge Store and Website are just the beginning.

In the wake of Xile's liquidation, our founder Paul Mullen recognized an opportunity for a fresh start and a new sanctuary. Thus, PARA-DAIZA was born with a new purpose: to create high-quality products with lasting value, blending inspiration from the past with innovative ideas. The brand name itself, PARA-DAIZA, holds profound meaning, rooted in ancient history with the Proto-Indo-Iranian term "p

aradaiza," signifying "around" (pari-) and "walls" (daiza). The mission of PARA-DAIZA is to craft exceptional products that stand the test of time. With a focus on sustainability, the collection will incorporate garments made in the UK whenever possible, showcasing a unique design style. Recognizing the textile industry's environmental impact, PARA-DAIZA has committed to addressing this issue through its Re-Purposed collection. This collection breathes new life into vintage second-hand goods, transforming them into exclusive, one-of-a-kind garments. By reducing and recycling, PARA-DAIZA aims to salvage unwanted goods from landfills and give them a new purpose, contributing to a sustainable cycle and promoting a conscious approach to fashion. The founder's latest venture, Daiza Projects, is working on a Multiband Retail concept – a retail hub that aims to redefine the shopping experience. The brand envisions a place where the community works to shop, connect, discover, and learn. This versatile space will include a retail offer and a café and design studio, serving as a collaborative haven for creatives and startups.

Rainy one in Edinburgh today. ☔️

This is exactly when the right outer layer makes sense.

The Waterproof Parka is one of those pieces I keep coming back to. Light enough to wear over a tee, roomy enough to layer properly, and sharp enough that you don’t feel like you’ve given up just because the weather has turned.

That’s the trick with Scottish weather.

Good layers. Proper outerwear. Ready for whatever comes next.

Available in store and online.

July at PARA-DAIZA.

A good month in and around the shop.

Asa came through for a coffee and a catch up. The man behind the maze, and someone who helped bring the whole PARA-DAIZA idea to life from the very start.

We had the Moovn boys back in too. Old stories, old flyers, house music, Xile days, and Guy back through the door. One of the first faces to model PARA-DAIZA.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy with suppliers, tightening things up and working on better stock counts for the pieces people keep asking for. The Pinch Chino being one of them.

Plenty happening. Plenty coming.

Keep your eyes peeled for August. 👀

Been thinking a lot about the old Xile days after catching up with the Moovn boys last week. 🎶🍻

Back in the early 2000s, Xile used to sponsor the night. Clothes, music, parties, and a lot of late nights. It all sort of lived in the same world.

It was good to see the guys again and talk through some of those stories. Funny how quickly it all comes back when you’re standing around the shop, years later, with the same faces and the same energy.

Different time, same feeling. 👊🏻

The Pinch Chino is coming back. 🔥

One of my favourite pieces in the collection, and a proper staple in any man’s wardrobe.

Relaxed where you want it, clean where it needs to be. That little pinch at the ankle gives it the shape without making it feel overdone.

Cut from Brisbane Moss cloth, woven in England, and now made here in Scotland.

Wear them turned up, wear them straight down. Smart enough when you need them to be, easy enough for every day.

Pinch Chino back in stock soon.

Paradise isn’t given.

It’s earned.

After selling out, our two defining graphic tees are back in full sizes.

The Isn’t Given Tee is about resilience, graft, and carving your own path.

The Escape Tee is a bit more indulgent. Sunsets, temptation, freedom, and that pull towards something better.

Both printed on our relaxed-fit organic cotton tee. Easy shape, good weight, made to be worn.

Limited restock available now.

Summer essentials.

Keep it simple.

A good tee, an easy trouser, a light layer for when the weather turns, and something that smells right when you walk past.

The Fall Oversized Tee with the Sand Pinch Chino is an easy one. Clean, relaxed, no fuss.

Throw the Officer Jacket over the top when you need a bit more shape, and finish it with PARA-DAIZA Number One.

Looking good is one thing.

Smelling good matters too.

Available in store and online.

Moovn back in the shop.

A few old friends popped in ahead of their night at People’s Leisure Club this weekend.

Andy and the boys were part of a club night that meant a lot to a lot of people back in the early 2000s. Proper Edinburgh house music days.

We got talking about the old scene, how much the dance floor has changed, and why it felt right to get everyone back together again.

Good laughs in the shop, then down to The Raeburn for a couple of beers and a few more stories.

Good to see you boys.

More to come soon… 🎥

Pelé in the Atelier Worker Jacket, Khaki.

The first piece from our Atelier Collection, and still one of the ones that says the most about where PARA-DAIZA is going.

Cut from heavyweight organic cotton twill, then hand-finished here in Edinburgh with . Each jacket carries its own bit of history through the vintage military camo panels, individually cut and placed by hand.

No two are the same.

It’s got that proper worker shape, but with enough detail to make it feel a bit more special. Easy over a tee, layered with a knit, collar popped when the weather turns, sleeves rolled when the sun comes out.

Made for wearing, not saving.

One of my absolute favourites, I'll never stop shouting about it.

Paul.

Asa in the shop.

The man behind the PARA-DAIZA maze.

5 years ago, I went to him with a great brief… or at least I thought it was at the time.

A few rough ideas, a bit of meaning behind the name, and Asa brought it all to life with the mark.

PARA-DAIZA comes from the old idea of a walled garden. A sanctuary. A protected place.

That’s what the maze has always been about.

Good to have him in, kitted out with the Core Worker Jacket in Khaki.
