Well done to George and Danielle on completing their L2 zip wallet! Was a lovely chilled Sunday morning Class with these 2.
Working with a pattern with 5 pieces they cut out their chosen fabric from my stash and together with my help we worked through the instructions and learned about fusible interfacing, how to change their presser foot and how to insert a zip. Always a tricky thing to learn and super happy with how each of your wallets turned out!
I do love having returnees in my studio!

Went to a friend of 20years' wedding last night and all my photos were either blurred or in bad lighting 😅 had such a wonderful time though. Thank you for including me in your Big Day Sarah!
You looked so happy and beautiful 😍 I'm glad the dress turned out well with the few alterations i did.
I decided two days before the event that i wanted to wear something new, so dug in my new fabric stash from and found this delicious summer suiting fabric. I made my classic trousers and matching top, then an hour before leaving i decide to use the scraps to make a little jacket. Because of course i don't do things by halfs. 🤣🤦‍♀️
I was so bloated and sweaty yesterday, i was so grumpy with it! But so happy with how it turned out 🥰

Lovely morning class with these 4. Booked through Classbento's private booking setting. This meant that they were able to pick a date that suited them and to feel comfortable with just the family around.
You all did so well! It can be a scary thing coming into a new space, but i was very impressed with everyone's progress. 👏

SewGallus is a combination of 2 of my favourite words, 'sew' as i am a maker at heart, I need to be making always. And 'Gallus' which is a scots word, something i was often called as a child, it describes someone who is a bit bold with a sprinkling of cheek added. I do feel we need to be more of in our lives!
My name is Cerri, I've been teaching for about 6 years now and i would love to invite you to my fabulous studio in the West of Edinburgh in Riverside House Artists, newly renovated by Wasps Artists Studios. With 20 years sewing experience, from studying in Glasgow to working in Tv/film. When I'm not teaching I'm working on my own designs i sell in Edinburgh and collaborating with independent shops keeping vintage clothes alive and in circulation, this is incredibly important to me, as i often see how much waste is created in the clothing industry!
