Loom thinking:materials and making. Tapestry workshop. What a great work shop we had last week at Studio 114. An international workshop with students from USA, Luxembourg, Devon and Scotland. Exploring the materials and techniques of the great tapestry artist Abakanowicz and Hicks. The students fully embraced the experimental approach of responding to materials and working directly on to the loom with a wide verity of less traditional materials. Delighted to be showing my tapestry Tide II in the RSA 200 exhibition academy Celebrating 200 years of supporting contemporary art. This exciting and vibrant exhibition showcase a wide range of art and is free to visit. Exhibition is open until the 14th June.

The SSA 127th Annual Exhibition is now open. Showcasing a wide range of contemporary art. I arrived for the opening on Saturday and was surprise and delighted to see that I had been awarded The Scottish Gallery prize for my white linen tapestry Tide.

Exhibition is open Monday to Sunday till Wednesday 4th February. Tickets £5/£4. Free entry Mondays at the
Royal Scottish Academy, Mound, Edinburgh, EH2 2EL.
