We love bold colours, interesting shapes and distinctive patterns! Bill & Helen Baber first opened their studio workshop in the Grassmarket back in 1976 and have been going strong ever since. They moved into their current location at number 66 30 years ago and are looking forward to their 40th year in business. We have always been a creative design business, and we always will be!

We want to keep creating and designing and to create our own design landscape, rather than following the crowd. We love Scottish knitwear traditions but want to mix them with our own colour palettes and style.

That instinct to make something genuinely our own, rather than follow where the market was heading, has been there since our earliest Freshly Pict days, and it still shapes every collection we produce.
