✨ Every wedding dress has a story, and it is always an honour to become part of it. ✨

Lorna entrusted me with altering her beautiful wedding dress, which was delicately hand-beaded and needed to be taken in by three sizes. It was a detailed and careful process, with several fittings to ensure every bead, every seam and every detail remained perfect while creating a flawless fit.

Seeing these beautiful wedding photos is the most rewarding part of what I do. Knowing that a bride feels confident, comfortable and truly herself on one of the most important days of her life makes every hour of work worthwhile.

Congratulations to our beautiful bride Jessica and her husband on their wonderful wedding day 🤍

It was an absolute pleasure for me to alter Jessica’s beautiful gowns and be part of such a special moment in her life. Seeing everything come together so perfectly on the day means so much to me.

Jessica looked absolutely stunning in both her elegant wedding gown and her gorgeous traditional red dress. Every alteration was completed with great care to ensure the perfect fit and comfort for her special day.

To all my clients, past and new:

I’d like to clear up some confusion. After 14 years in Portobello, I relocated Mira’s Tailoring to Prestonpans in January 2026.
Since then, I have no connection to the business currently trading in my old Portobello premises.

If you visit the Portobello shop, you are not receiving my work or my service!

For all bridal, occasionwear, and alterations, I’m now working solely from my Prestonpans studio at 32 Redburn Road.

Thank you for supporting my small business and following me to my new home.

A Bridal Dream, Designed From Scratch

It was such a joy to create this stunning bridal look for this beautiful family.
From the bride’s gown, to the maid of honour’s dress, and the little princess’s matching outfit , every piece was designed and made from scratch here at Mira’s Tailoring to bring their vision to life.

To make the day even more personal, the embroidered ring cushion was also handmade by Mira, crafted to match the couple’s colours and style.

Seeing all three of them together, perfectly coordinated and glowing with happiness, is exactly why I love what I do.

A huge thank you to Sebastian Majcherczyk for capturing these gorgeous moments , the colours, the emotion, the details… absolutely beautiful work.

Wishing this lovely couple and their wee girl a lifetime of love and joy.
