Playtown Inverurie is looking for a reliable, friendly and confident person to be part of our team on Fridays and Saturdays.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and children, can lead a small team, and is happy to take responsibility for the smooth running of the shop.

Duties will include:

Opening and closing the premises
Supervising staff and supporting the team.
welcoming customers and providing excellent service
Handling bookings, admissions and payments
Helping to keep the play areas clean, safe and well organised…. You must love cleaning and tidying as we do that to the play area 4 times a day
Dealing with customer enquiries and any issues that arise
We are looking for someone who is:

Responsible, trustworthy and reliable
Confident dealing with customers and staff
Friendly, approachable and professional
Able to work well under pressure
Previous supervisory, childcare, hospitality or customer service experience would be helpful. Able to work in kitchen and make soup, sandwiches and tray bakes . Training will be given
Applicants must be suitable to take responsibility for the premises during shifts.

A couple of great wee places to visit in the holidays with the kids

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Fiona from Play Town Inverurie 💛

Rather than spending more money with big corporate companies to try and spread the word about our businesses, we decided to do something much nicer… support each other.

We’ll be swapping leaflets, meaning families visiting The Gonks of Gardenshillock can discover another fantastic local family business, and visitors to Play Town can discover us too.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be adding even more leaflets from local family-friendly businesses to our information stand. If we can help one another, why wouldn’t we?

Small businesses are stronger when we work together. It’s not about stealing anyone’s customers or trying to outdo each other—it’s about building a community where local families discover amazing places and everyone benefits.
