Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want MMD to go.
For a long time, I offered a bit of everything. If I could make it, chances are I probably tried it 😂 But more recently I’ve really narrowed down what I want Material Mum Designs to be known for…
Personalised keepsakes that last a lifetime. The things that hold meaning. The memories you want to treasure. The moments you never want to forget.
Whether that’s remembering a loved one who is no longer here, celebrating a special occasion, preserving handwriting, marking a milestone or creating something that simply means something to the person receiving it.
That’s where my heart is with MMD now, and I’m really excited to keep building on that.
But Material Mum is becoming much bigger than just one little business 👀
Alongside MMD will soon come The Dad Edition!! For a long time Simon has wanted to create his own range for other like-minded dads. Think dog tags, T-shirts, accessories and gifts that are bold, funny and probably a little bit inappropriate 😂
There is one rule though… Made by Dad. Approved by Mum. So keep an eye out for the official launch of that very soon.
Then there’s Material Mum Mindset 🤍
This is the softer, feel-good side of Material Mum. Positive affirmations, little reminders, relatable products and things designed to make somebody smile, feel understood or give them a boost on the days they need it.
It’s another part of the business I really want to grow, because sometimes the smallest message can mean the most.
And as lots of you already know, I’ve also recently launched Material Mum Events.
At the moment that means beautifully styled teepees and memorable sleepovers, but I definitely don’t plan on stopping there.
I’ll also be bringing in the dome, bell tent and standalone party packages, with even more ways to make birthdays and celebrations feel really special.
I feel like for the first time, everything is starting to come together 🤍
Different branches, but all with the same idea behind them. Creating things, moments and memories that mean something and I’m really excited to see where it all goes 🤍
