Made With Pride 🤍

Out of everything I’ve created with my xTool, this is one of the pieces I’m most proud of.

I designed this personalised family home plaque as something more than just a decoration. Each heart represents a member of the family, with space for the people and pets that make a house feel like home.

It started as an idea in my head and has gone on to become one of those products that really represents where I want Material Mum Designs to go: personalised keepsakes that hold meaning and memories for years to come.

There’s something I still find incredibly satisfying about taking a blank sheet of plywood, designing something from scratch, watching the laser bring it to life and then assembling all the little pieces into the finished product.

And even after years of making, I still get ridiculously excited when something turns out exactly how I imagined it. 😂🤍

Created using my xTool S1 and plywood, laser cut and engraved before being assembled and finished by hand.

This one definitely deserves my Made With Pride entry. 🥹

Last year, these little keyrings completely took over my shop 🤍

They ended up becoming one of my biggest best sellers, and I still love making them now. There’s something so special about turning a simple message into something someone can carry with them every day.

I always find it fascinating seeing which products suddenly take off each year, because it’s never always the one I expect. So now I’m wondering…

Will these keep their crown, or is something else coming for them? 🤍

One of my favourite things about running a small business is getting to support other small businesses too 🤍

Lucy came to me and asked if I could make some letters for her sticker board, and of course I said yes.

It was such a pleasure making something for another small business owner, because honestly… no one really understands the highs, the lows, the stress, the excitement and the constant “what am I doing?!” moments quite like someone else doing the same thing 😂

I now run two small businesses myself, so I am fully here for supporting, sharing and cheering on other people who are building something of their own.

I am obsessed with making these signs right now 🍂😂

Here is my first painted one! Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But that’s what practice is for 🤣 and I’m actually really pleased with how it turned out.

I’ve got SO many ideas for different designs, seasons and styles now, so…

I absolutely loved making this one.

A family tree made to represent the people who make your house feel like home, with larger hearts for the adults, smaller hearts for the children and little paw prints for the fur babies too. 🥹

Back to school! ✨

Wow… what a summer. It was long, it was hard, but it was also amazing. We had some really lovely days out, made loads of memories and somehow survived the chaos!

All 4 of my children are now back in school, although my eldest is apparently far too cool to have a bottle made by me anymore 🫣

So this week is very much my catch-up and get-my-life-back-together week. If you’re waiting on an order, a reply, a quote or a message from me, thank you so much for being patient. I’m working my way through everything this week and getting properly back on top of Material Mum Designs again. 🤍

A really special little keepsake for a really special occasion 🤍

I made this personalised photo christening keepsake box and I absolutely love how it turned out. It’s the sort of gift that feels lovely now, but hopefully becomes even more special as the years go by. A little place to keep tiny treasures, keepsakes and memories from such an important day.
