sometimes you see a finished fleece and think it’s just a few hours of sewing.
But there’s so much that happens before that first stitch. 🧵

Working with leftover fabrics means figuring out what I have, what will fit, which colours work together, and how to turn a collection of random pieces into something that feels playful and intentional.

Sometimes it takes a few tries. Sometimes I change my mind a few times, maybe to many 😅

But that’s the beauty of making with what already exists. The limitations become part of the creativity!!!

These ones are almost there… just the collar and buttons to go! Ekkk!!!

My website has never looked this full before… 🥹🧡
I’m quite excited about it!

The truth is, keeping my website stocked has always been a bit of a challenge. When you’re a one person business, there’s only so much you can do in a day.

I’m the designer, the maker, the photographer, the person updating the website, packing orders, answering messages… you get the idea. 😅😅😅

And as much as I’d love to have a website full of beautiful things all the time, making everything by hand means my capacity has its limits.

But lately, I’ve been busy in the studio, making new pieces and using fabrics I’ve been saving, and for once, there’s a lovely little selection of ONDA ready to find its new home. 🌊

You’ll find cosy fleeces, sweatshirts, trousers, caps and more all handmade by me in Exeter, with a focus on using all what already exists in my studio and making pieces to be worn, loved and lived in.

Some are one-offs, and some may never be made in exactly the same way again.

So if you’ve been meaning to have a proper look at ONDA, this might be a good time. 😊

O N D A - E X E T E R 🪡

I don’t think I’ve ever owned anything that feels quite as me as this.

Ad A month or so ago I commissioned the wonderful Pam from to create a bespoke sweatshirt using recycled & reclaimed fabric. Onda is an independent slow fashion studio based in Exeter where every piece is thoughtfully designed & handmade, giving beautiful textiles a second life instead of letting them go to waste. Every piece is rooted in ethical craftsmanship, sustainable fashion & eco-friendly practices.

It actually all started back in March when a group of us bought our friend Amy one of Pam’s bespoke sweatshirts for her birthday. I’d been following Onda for a while and knew it would make the perfect gift for our dog-walking friend. We chose teal, purple & beige for Amy and when it arrived I instantly knew I wanted one too.

A few DMs later I met Pam at her St Thomas studio in Exeter to design my own. My colour palette is much more neutral, so we settled on black, cream & terracotta with a tiny nod to Amy’s sweatshirt in the soft lilac.

The whole process was such a joy. We played around with colours on Pam’s iPad, held fabrics up to my face to see what suited, chose the perfect fit, length & all those little details you just don’t get when buying something off the peg.

A week or so later my sweatshirt was ready. The quality is incredible & it’s even more stunning than I’d imagined. Pam is unbelievably talented, but she’s also one of those genuinely lovely people you can’t help wanting to support.

The fact that every sweatshirt is handmade using recycled fabrics makes it even more special.

It’s been far too warm to wear it properly but with the hint of rain we had today it seemed appropriate to post & I know come autumn I will be living in it.

Some days I feel like I know exactly where I’m going.
Other days… not so much 😆

But I keep making 🪡🙌

Because I believe in slower fashion 💫because I enjoy creating sooo much! because I like knowing who made my clothes.😊

Ohh and also because seeing pieces I made out in the world 🌎 (literally) exploring, camping, getting muddy and loved feels a little bit magical 🥰

Market day 🚲✨!!!

Packed my bike and trolley 😄loaded up my clothes, and headed to the market for a day of selling, meeting lovely people, and soaking up the atmosphere. Thank you to for organising this lovely market 🧡

Indie business, slow living, and my bike 😆 I quite like this way of trading 👌might do it more often…do you think I can fit a gazebo here? Haha
