Jonathan Hawkes has been clothing stylish men in Exeter since 1987. Originally a suit shop for both retail and hire, Jonathan Hawkes has broadened its range to cover casual wear and more. Today it stocks a range of clothing from Remus Uomo, Santinelli, Digel, Torre, Guide London, Claudio Lugli, Baileys, Giordano, Magee, Olymp, Mish Mash, Meyer Trousers, MMX Trousers, and belts from Robert Charles.

It also offers a selection of shoes from Jeffery West, Barker Shoes, Lacuzzo and Sergio Duletti. One of our most frequently asked questions at J.H. relates to the hire timescales for choosing your wedding suits and having them fitted. Hopefully, this helpful guide will give you an insight into timings…

Best time for the initial consultation? - 9-18 months before your wedding day is perfect (ideally just you and your partner at this point, so the key decisions can be made!)

When do I bring my guys in to be fitted for their suits? - 6-8 weeks before your wedding day

What about children’s fittings? - We recommend that children are fitted closer to the wedding, usually working on 3-4 weeks before the big day
