I would just like to say a massive thank you to the surfers,bodyboarders who was at Maenporth beach yesterday that helped and assisted the people that got into trouble on the righthand side of the beach..
4 separate instances.....if it wasn't for them, things could have been so much worse. And these were strong swimmers who were just being dragged out by the undercurrent..
I sent one person to hospital after helping him into shore,he'd been struggling to get in for sometime ,and swallowing water..he was very shaken up.
i hope he recovered ok..

Lots of holiday families are here now.
please please ask locals , or someone who knows the beach you're on, be aware of danger spots.watch where the majority are in the water..
Read the warning signs.
they are usually large red boards so you can't miss them.
No lifeguards service on Maenporth,
only volunteers from time to time.. And the girl who spoke to me on the beach who called the rescue services, thank you. it's always worth doing ..they don't mind.
They did launch the rib but couldn't get in through the large waves..
