July Makes. Dresses for my daughter and me for a wedding, then she rewore it for her graduation. An upcycled jacket for the same graduation for her friend and added her grandfather's Navy badges to a charity shop distressed denim jacket.

Murder Mystery Quilt update.

We're half way through the year and I've just completed the June blocks, which are a reverse of the February blocks. To make it more interesting I sewed these using the template method rather than the foundation paper piecing method I did in February, (from the front they look exactly the same).

I had a little play putting together the January, February, April and June blocks which could form the centre of the quilt, although we won't get the final layout confirmed until December.

My 2026 patchwork quilt project, the Whipstitch Murder Mystery Quilt is growing!
All the have been art deco style as the theme this year is the orient express, which I'm loving 😍
The background colour in all 3 is the same green fabric, but the light was different.

I've been sewing away my January blues making a quilted mug-rug (pattern designed by me... my 1st!) and of course my January block for this year's Murder Mystery Quilt which is set in the Alps with themes of art deco.
