The shop is bursting with everything you need to see out the summer - and it’s your last chance to grab the perfect outfit before I close the door until Wednesday 2nd September.

Just to remind you…
Popicoq is open till Sunday and then closed until Wednesday 2nd September.
So if there’s any chance you’ll be needing a beautiful light cotton block print dress, a strappy summer top, a statement scarf, a sparkly bag, a satin skirt, an antique silver heirloom, a gemstone talisman, a papier mâché monkey, a vintage paperweight, a French oil painting, a leather Obi belt, a metal peacock, some handmade earrings or a beaded terracotta head, do drop by 😜

A bit of housekeeping…
Popicoq has always been pleasingly, if perhaps a little confusingly, eclectic - with charming old knick-knacks sitting alongside new outfits from Paris, antique silver next to velvet coats made in India. 🤪
I regularly insist that I only sell new clothes, and then, just when you believe me, I pop up in the garden with a rail of vintage and a collection of theatrical costumes…
As much as these choices make perfect sense in my head, they actually belong to two different businesses.
So, in the interests of keeping everything neat and tidy, Popicoq will no longer be promoting my pop-up vintage clothing and costume sales.
Those adventures are moving over to Dulcie Best, where you’ll also find my work as a costume designer.
Admittedly there are also personal posts, but please indulge or ignore these!

Attention, s’il vous plaît!
In true French style, Popicoq will be taking some time out in August.
The shop will be open as usual up until Sunday Market day on August 2nd and will then close until Wednesday 2nd September.
Work commitments, family stuff and a little time away combine to make this a good idea, but I’m sorry if it causes any inconvenience.
Think of it as time for you to miss me 😜…and to wonder what I’ll have in store for September 🌺
(and incidentally ….in my 26 years there, when Paris shut shop for the month, I don’t remember the French ever apologizing! 😎🇫🇷)

So, for the next couple of weeks until market day it’s business as usual…and the shop is bursting with beautiful stock. Do come in and see me before my wee break.

Frome feels like party central this weekend! 🥳
Yesterday, a brilliant night at the opening of Communa , followed by this evening’s fabulous food fest and tomorrow it’s market day! The Frome Festival is packed with incredible stuff to see and do And the art trail has just started!
I can’t really compete but I can invite you … to join me in the garden for a glass of fizz or iced elderflower.
Underneath the apple tree are rails of beautiful summer dresses that I had made from the hand block printed and screen printed fabrics I found in Jaipur. There are velvet coats and jackets, a suitcase of pyjamas, a collection of quilted tote bags - and a rail of “summer sale”.
I’ve some old friends staying so you might bump into them too!
It’s going to be a great day all round town - do detour and join me if you can ♥️🌺💕
