This roman blind was made in a linen fabric called Ledbury by . The fabric design was inspired by the 16th century Painted Room, one of the oldest timber framed buildings in Ledbury. Following restoration in 1988, this design was found under layers of wallpaper, painted directly onto the plaster and is thought to be from 1560-1570. The painted walls are thought to be some of the best examples of Elizabethan wall paintings and are based on floral patterns and also an Elizabethan Knot Garden. This blind is now destined for the kitchen of a new build.

Creating a mitred corner for interlined curtains using 3 of the key stitches used in traditional handmade curtains:
Interlocking stick to join the interlining to the main fabric at the side seam
Ladder stitch to join the mitred corner with no visible stitching
Slip stitch to join the lining to the face fabric
Each corner has a weight placed in it to help the curtain hang well.
