There’s a restock of Banana Bread Co-Ferment, Super Soaker and Cherry Co-Ferment but be quick cause most has been reserved 😮
We also have a pop-up at IOLLA on West George St Sat + Sun. We all know how hard it is to find good coffee in town so if you are in the centre and need caffeine, come grab a coffee ☕️

Summer glow-up alert 🚨

A year ago, I set out with one goal: to make specialty coffee feel fun and approachable for people who’d never really experienced it before. I think we’ve done a pretty good job of that 🙌

Since opening, I’ve always leaned into the sillier side of coffee - crème brûlée lattes and what not. But there’s always been regulars who love the filter brews too ☕️

For a while now, I wanted to do a wee face lift and ideally I would have launched it in line with the UKBC’s. However, I’ve spent way TOO MANY HOURS on my iPad sketching, redrawing, and trying to figure out what Tasse really stands for. I’ve looked at what feels like every font on the internet, and in the end, the right one was the one I drew myself ✍️

Every line of this rebrand was drawn by me. It was important that Tasse looked like it was made by a person, not a computer, because that’s exactly how I want the coffee to feel too.

Tasse is for everyone. Whether you’re ordering an iced oat milk caramel half calf latte with an extra shot or a co-ferment, every drink gets the same care and attention.

Stickers will hopefully be here by the weekend!

This weekend marks the official Tasse birthday and a year since I took the leap to start Tasse and it’s been truly amazing! (so come down tomorrow!) 🎉
It’s truly wild the places you can end up brewing some brown water and all the friends you make along the way and the ones who still support you on your journey 🫶
Anyways, I’ll keep it short n sweet, thanks everyone for one life changing year and if you are reading being like “does he mean me?” Then the answer is yes 🫶 I can’t wait to see what the next 365 days bring! Lots of exciting things in the works…

1 YEAR BIRTHDAY PARTY ❤️🎉
This Saturday 4th of July, I’ll be celebrating the one year anniversary of opening Tasse so come down to the Barras ☕️
It’s been an absolute life changing and phenomenal experience so far. The journey I have been on has had many ups and downs too. There would be days where I’d sell no coffees and days where I would question my decision to do this. Thankfully, I never gave up and led to some incredible memories and moments.
I’d like to thank you all for the support once again 🫶❤️
I’d love to give out free coffee all day, but I can’t 🤣Anyways come down this Saturday and make it the best day yet ❤️

The end of an era…
At the end of this month I will be saying au revoir to The Hug and Pint
I started brewing beans here on the 4th of July last year and it truly has been an incredible year 🫶
If it weren’t for Eric and Kez replying a wee email from me about doing a pop-up then Tasse wouldn’t be what it is now!
The journey really has been a dream come true. Countless conversations, a life time of Pica Luna Pizza slices consumed, keeping and Hardlines Glasgow caffeinated, having coffee cuppings with Cairngorm Coffee and Downriver Coffee Roasters and friends that I’ve made for life. It’s wild.
When I started here I had £16 in my account and there would be days where I wouldn’t sell a single coffee, so to be where I am now, it’s a dream come true.
A huge and massive thank you to Eric, Kez, Harry, Luke, Lucy, Max and Lottie and the rest of the team! And a massive thanks to everyone who has walked through the door 🫶
The next chapter is just around the corner so keep your eyes peeled. We will be having some goodbye drinks, with more details to follow!

UK BARISTA CHAMPIONSHIPS QUARTER FINAL 🏆

On Tuesday, I competed in the Quarter Finals. Here’s my 10-minute performance, condensed into under 3 minutes.

The theme of my routine was Opportunity. Across three espresso-based courses, I presented the judges with a different question in each round - designed to encourage reflection on a person, place, or moment in time that helped shape who they are today.

For the competition, I used a washed Peruvian Geisha with notes of Jasmine, Grapefruit, and Lemongrass.

Paired with 50% freeze-distilled .farm milk, the coffee transformed into notes of Honeycomb Ice Cream, Butterscotch, and Lemongrass Sorbet.

While I didn’t qualify for the next round, I’m incredibly proud of the performance and everything that went into it.

They all literally taste like the real thing, maybe they are a bit outrageous.
Only available at 10-4 Saturday and Sunday for the foreseeable 🫶 For May, I’m rotating and .roasters on the espresso hopper, there’s also some of the Coffee that I used in the Barista Championships available for retail 💪
