Drones were firmly grounded for safety, so we pulled out the camera rigs to track Rich Goodwin's Jet Pitts tearing up the sky for the Friday night twilight display at the International Ayr Show!

Watching this heavily modified Pitts Special slice through the sunset over the Firth of Clyde with those twin side-mounted jet engines screaming was pure poetry. The raw power and agility of this thing up close is unbelievable to capture on camera!

The mighty RAF Chinook just made its entrance at the International Ayr Show Festival of Flight, and that iconic "blade slap" echoing over the Ayr shorefront was absolutely unmatched.

It is always mind-blowing to see a machine that massive dance through the sky with so much agility doing nose-high stops, steep turns, and showing exactly why it's the workhorse of the RAF. Swipe/watch through to see the photos and videos we caught from the crowd! 📸🎥

Flt. Lt. Tom Nation completely tore up the skies over the Ayr shorefront tonight in the RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4! That entrance was absolute madness—tearing in at top speed, instantly ripping into a mind-bending roll, flying upside down, and looping right over the Low Green! 🤯✈️

The sheer power and noise of those EJ200 afterburners is something you have to feel to belive.

Look who decided to swap the tracks for the clouds! The iconic Thomas the Tank Engine special shape hot air balloon has officially taken flight.

We couldn't resist sharing a few snapshots of everyone’s favorite Really Useful Engine looking absolutely massive up in the air.

He's puffing perfect clouds of nostalgia over Scotland today! ☁️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
