University of Edinburgh Alumnus Talia Claudia wears the Arisaid from Slanj Kilts during the 2026 Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students. 🇨🇳 🏴 🇬🇧
Talia approached Slanj to find a way to represent her University and Scotland in the competition by wearing a Spirit of Edinburgh Tartan Arisaid, styled in a contemporary fashion to create a stunning draped dress which she wore for the competition’s promotional photoshoot. Talia’s look is an example of the ways that the adaptable and historical Arisaid can be re-imagined in current fashion styles. Thanks to Talia for sharing these beautiful photos.
Talia placed roughly in the top 10 in Europe, won the online “Most Popular Contestant” award, as well as becoming the 2026 UK Chinese Tourism Promotion Ambassador, which will see Talia takeon a year long role in the Chinese National Tourist Office, London. In this role Talia will act as an envoy for cultural exchange, promoting the many tourist attractions of China and attracting more British people to visit and fall in love with the country. 🏆
Congratulations to Talia on this amazing achievement! ✨ 🏴
