Yup, we do bothies, too 🏴
Barra is pretty unique in that it’s the only place in the world where planes land on the beach - it’s now also home to a bothy rocking a Mirrl worktop.
This one’s completely off-grid, with water sourced from a well (who needs a tap, anyway?) and power tools are cordless, with no option to recharge the batteries nearby 🙃
So we have to be verrry careful with consumption, relying on more traditional handcrafting to get the details just right. Oh, and you need to take every last little thing you may need to the island, as there’s little to no chance to pick up forgotten bits and bobs down the road.
We chose a vibrant red, complemented by granite greys and subtle steel blue popping through, matching the bothy’s red-doored façade and the moody Atlantic oot the window 🌊
