Any other wedding suppliers just about surviving July 🤣 the sun is lovely but it isn't always a makers friend 🙈

Anyways, keeping up with the colour blast for summer days I thought I'd share one of my favourite palettes! Rose gold or blush (all the shades) have always been popular at DollyBird, specifically our rose gold glitter! Its sparkle is very distinctive and always looks so pretty at weddings too.

Did anyone happen to notice the special proposal destination on those save the dates. That's something we can add for you too!

Well the sun is shining and it's full on wedding season and I love it!

So for today I thought I'd talk a little bit about colour and one we haven't saw much of this year is purple and lilac in particular!

Whilst neutrals are always popular we love a bit of colour at DollyBird and I'm looking forward to adding a bit of colour to the next couple of weddings we have in July.

Every year we see trends and colours come into fashion but one thing for sure, purple will always come back in and out especially as pastels are still as popular as ever.

Continuing the colour theme of the last few days with some throwbacks to invites from the last few years and it really is true, neutrals never get old!

Whether it's pocketfold, laser, single sided or open card designs, white on white is always so beautiful. Glitter, pebble, lace or even ribbon can be added to make them stand out even more but keeping it simple and elegant never fails either!

Yesterday saw our beautiful couple Danielle Loudon & Joseph tie the knot and I couldn't be happier for them! From the moment I met Danielle and her amazing mum I knew I was going to love being a part of this wedding and it has been so much fun and an absolute pleasure.

We've went full circle with the stationery and all has came together perfectly. From calendar save the dates to day and evening Invites, through to their on the day stationery which consisted of Table Names (what a theme!), placecards, personalised bottle tags, scratch card favours, I spy signs and some beautiful thank you cards for their guests staying at the amazing Dalmeny Park House Hotel

White was the theme and every bit of stationery was made to match...white glitter, white pearl card and diamante detail. Clean & crisp throughout!

Awk I just love a wedding and when couples have been on your books for that little bit longer it's always special to see their day ❤️

A wee throwback today to start the theme of the weekend - beautiful and neutral weddings! Tomorrow I get to share our gorgeous wedding of this weekend and thought I'd share one from last year.

White on white is always so clean ans crisp and never ages and this year neutrals have been as popular as ever! xx

So many beautiful July weddings to share this month and I can't wait to share their invites once the happy couples say I Do! Along with these weddings we also have some gorgeous thank you cards making their way to guests.

Whilst not all couples choose to send thank you cards I've noticed these become more popular again this year and for each of our couples I'll start with a variety of designs using their favourite pictures, with some opting for one stand alone photo and others choosing a variety of their favourites.

Another little beauty from this years weddings 🥰

This gorgeous invite is a prime example of how wedding wording has changed over the years. Whilst many couples still have the traditional wording incorporated, some couples who have already started their family choose to include their little ones and I always love seeing kids inviting everyone to the wedding!

Stephanie & Mark went for an open card design with white glitter and pink tied bows for their day Invites and matched their evening invites perfectly. Just Beautiful!

2026 has had so many beautiful wedding invitations issued from Dollybird HQ, ranging in style, design and colour.

Although we love a bit of glitter, we make all our invites bespoke so when the lovely Lisa & Gary gave me their design brief we started with some different floral printed designs and decided on this simple but elegant border detail for their final choice and they turned out just perfect.

I love designing invites from scratch and going from samples to final designs is always so much fun - the more creative I can be the better!

It's Monday so let's share!

May had some beautiful weddings and events and I can't not share these absolutely gorgeous invitations for the lovely Fiona & Gordon who married Rosslea Hall Hotel

A touch of glam with ivory glitter, pink detailing to tie in their gorgeous decor by Signature Wedding Events and a gorgeous little heart brooch made these invites stand out. Simple and elegant ivory glitter evening Invites brought the set together and then we matched their table names and Placecards to their original designs too!

Back to the sharing 🤣 I swear I need an extra day to share stuff! The last few weeks have been literally a worldwind!

We'll start with a little bit of creativity, that was definitely away from our norm of glitter and glam but definitely still gorgeous in their own right!

The theme was Traitors, the brief was black and gold and I think we tied it all in nicely, whilst incorporating the elements of the show! Custom made menus and door hangers with black matt card, gold foil and ivory pearlescent mounts, all hand cut to incorporate the tower design.

What a way to celebrate a 40th and you can always count on Thrill Events to throw the most amazing event!
