All set up and ready to go! Winter Market at The Briggait is live, come down and check it out! Saturday and Sunday 11-5, this is my one and only market this year, so come and grab your favourite upcycled accessories- everything is made from plastic bags, strengthened and styled to give them new life!

I’m looking forward to being back in the Briggait with this weekend for their Winter Market! I’ll be there on Saturday and Sunday from 11-5 with a whole lot of upcycled accessories perfect for gifting.

Come and say hello and check out all the other amazing artists and makers. Fremsley the spaniel might make an appearance this year too 🥰.

Hello! It’s been a while, but I’m delighted to say that I will be doing ONE Christmas market this season - the always wonderful and inspiring WASPS market at the beautiful Briggait Hall in Glasgow on 7-8 December. This may be my last market for another long while so do come along and get some sustainable gifts! Can’t wait to see you there!

I’m so excited to give this Pathfinder Tee it’s first outing on 26 May for the Issue 5 launch party! Hosted by it’s bound to be a wonderful woolly event. I can’t wait to see all the other samples from the other designers featured in this issue. 🧶

I’m delighted to share the Pathfinder Tee with you! Inspired by the trails on maps, eyelets run across the front and back of this simple tee, giving it definition and adding a bit of fun, ready for your own explorations.

A top for the Scottish summertime, it is knit with the wonderfully woolly Masham mayhem (4-ply) hand dyed by

Hello!! It’s been a while, but I’m still here knitting and making in the background. I’m delighted with my latest knit in this fabulous pink from . Definitely helps to brighten a dreich day!

For the knitters, I’m looking forward to seeing you at this weekend! I’ll have some samples on display in the Atelier that you can smoosh and try on, and I’ll be there to chat and say hi from 12-1 on Saturday!

I’m still here, but have been taking it slow this year to spend more time with my family. Finding the balance is a constant struggle!

Holiday Haul. We’ve been exploring the outer Hebrides this week and I managed to squeeze in some excellent yarn shop visits.

uses local wool to create a beautiful range of natural colours - this grey is scrumptious and so beautifully woolly. I also picked up a unique single ply Hebridean mix that I can’t wait to use in some lacework. It was a delight to visit their shop on Grimsay.

I had the pleasure of visiting and meeting Meg just before she went to collect her Hebridean sheep from their offshore home. Her colours are beautiful and organically dyed on a vase of truly local wool, and I did get a ball of Hebridean from her own flock.

The last treasure was from the Harris Tweed Isle of Harris shop where I found this mystery skein in a beautiful blue shade. I’m assuming it’s an off cut from the wool used in the tweed that was piled together to create a Worsted/ Aran skein.

I love buying local wool on holiday as it adds so much meaning to a project and finished object - so many memories knit into it!

This is the ultimate celebration of Ginger Twist’s 10 woolly years and isn’t it gorgeous!!

I’m looking forward to seeing it in person on Sunday at the party of a decade!

Meet the Tenfold Wrap! A new pattern designed to celebrate 10 years of Ginger Twist

This big drapey wrap is like a cardigan without the seams, or a shawl with a collar. It’s a non-garment that’s warm, versatile, and fun. I’m totally in love with the fringe!!

It’s an easy knit with just enough variation to keep it interesting.

Mine is knit in Ginger’s Hand Dyed Pin-up Sport in ‘Good Morning Green’ using 5 skeins.

Jess is currently finishing up a beautiful version using Ginger’s Hand Dyed Shine On Sport in her new colour way ‘Design of a Decade’ so keep an eye out for that!

The pattern is now live on Ravelry - there’s a link in my bio. I will also have the sample and printed patterns available at the Ginger Twist 10 year party this Sunday 11 June 3-7pm at 24 Royal Terrace Boutique Hotel EH7 5AH.

CUSTOM ORDERS are back open! It took me a bit longer than anticipated to fully open my custom order options again - a full year post birth - but they are back! You can once again order a customised version of any of my standard products or request something totally unique - like these pen cases to store pens individually and a smaller zip pouch to hold keys while running. If you can think it up, I can probably make it!
Also back open is the option to design your own laptop sleeve - you pick the outer bag (or bags), the lining colour, and the zip colour and I put it all together for you!

I had a lovely day at Kibble Palace - such a beautiful warm space on a cold winter day. It helps that it’s packed with incredible work from Scottish makers and artists for last festive market.
We will be here again on Sunday from 10-4! It’s the perfect place to pick up a thoughtful handmade gift - without the stress of postal strikes and delivery times!
