Inspired by the nightlife of 90s Manchester and the rise of rave culture, our Autumn ’26 collection draws on an era of bold self-expression and rebellion that left a lasting mark on British culture and style.
 
Shot with Manchester four-piece Arkayla, one of the city’s most exciting new acts. After a summer of festival appearances, including a main stage slot at Leeds Festival last week, the band are going from strength to strength with the release of their brand new EP, ‘Back to Belle Vue’.

Manchester’s Westside Cowboy finally released their highly-anticipated debut ‘It Goes On’ a week ago today, and it’s our Album of the Month for August 2026!
 
The quartet have fine-tuned their self-described ‘Britainicana’ sound into a debut that feels completely lived-in. Rather than reinventing the indie-rock rulebook, Westside Cowboy focus completely on great songwriting, with Sonic Youth esque-guitars, crescendos that feel straight from a 90s coming-of-age movie soundtrack and harmonies that show off the band’s chemistry and boundless energy on every track.
 
‘Kick Stones (The Boys)’ builds from a restless guitar riff into an all-enveloping wall of noise, while ‘Take My Leaving As I Love You’ and ‘Big Wheels’ show the softer, more melodic side of the band. Surely it’s only upwards from here.

It’s 60 years of The Beatles’ ‘Revolver’ today!
Widely regarded as one of the most influential albums ever made, ‘Revolver’ marked a seismic shift for The Beatles. Trading the constraints of their live show for the limitless possibilities of the studio, the band pushed the boundaries of what a pop record could be. From the timeless hooks of "Taxman" and "And Your Bird Can Sing" to the groundbreaking tape loops on "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the string octet on "Eleanor Rigby", ‘Revolver’ completely redefined what rock music could be and laid the foundations for psychedelia, art rock and modern pop production.

1966 proved to be a revolutionary year for music. The Beach Boys' ‘Pet Sounds’ (in turn inspired by ‘Revolver’) further redefined the possibilities of studio production and songwriting, Bob Dylan continued his electric transformation with ‘Blonde on Blonde’, The 13th Floor Elevators released their pioneering psych rock debut ‘The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators’, and Cream announced the arrival of blues rock's first supergroup with ‘Fresh Cream’. These records captured a moment when artists were tearing up the rulebook and changing popular music forever.

Summer's looking stacked for new music. From iconic returns to some of the most exciting newcomers around, these are a few releases we're counting down to.

are back with their 7th studio album and their first in 6 years, ‘Reality Awaits’, coming this Friday 24th July.

continue their rise as one of the buzziest bands around with their much anticipated debut ‘It Goes On’ to be released 21st August.

And on 28st August treat us to ‘Live!’, which is exactly what it sounds like; a live album recorded at last year's O2 London show. It’ll be accompanied by a film, directed by Garth Jennings.

Also on our radar this summer are plenty more new releases to soundtrack the season, including releases from , , , , , and .band - just to name a few!

It’s 5 years of Wolf Alice’s ‘Blue Weekend’ today! The long-awaited follow-up to 2017's ‘Visions of a Life’, Wolf Alice's third album more than lived up to expectations. �After 187 shows on the Visions of a Life tour, the band reset and revived their dynamic in an Airbnb in Somerset, with Rowsell laying down some of her most personal storytelling, paired by a newfound sharpness and vulnerability. Standout tracks like "Smile" and “Lipstick on the Glass” propelled ‘Blue Weekend’ to number one in the UK charts and was the biggest-selling album of ‘21 in UK record shops.
2021 was also chock-full of fantastic records, including Sam Fender's UK number one ‘Seventeen Going Under’ which scored him the Ivor Novello prize, as well as game-changing debuts from Inhaler and Geese, a brief glimpse into the world of these future headliners, making 2021 one of the strongest years for guitar music in recent memory.��What’s your favourite album from 2021?

New York’s prodigious The Lemon Twigs return with their sixth album ‘Look For Your Mind’, which is our Album of the Month for May 2026. There’s very little time for unnecessary frills here - the record is packed to the brim with punchy, immediate power pop. Coming by way of obvious influences from The Beach Boys, The Beatles and Big Star, Brian and Michael D’addario could very easily fall into 60s/70s pastiche territory - but no such worries here. The record is a testament to the power of great songwriting being timeless, no matter the genre or production choices. “Joy” is a beautiful Yesterday-esque number, while “I Just Can’t Get Over Losing You” is laden with hooks and masterful vocal harmonies, clocking in at barely 2 mins long. How’s that for a tight pop song? Let us know your favourite track!
