Found the lustres - I’d packed them away in the back of a cupboard 😅

These gorgeous gilt opaline beauties are now for sale 💚

- big! 22cm tall and approx 13cm wide
- white and green opaline with gilt decoration
- Bohemian, most likely the later half of the 1800s
- all prisms present! Although some have damage as shown. (I actually haven’t finished cleaning and checking the metal pins for hanging yet, so they’ll be improved upon from these photos.)
- two very small chips to the base of one of the lustres (the photo shows the largest one), that’s it though 😍

A beautiful pairing of a Walther & Söhne 'Wilhelm' bowl and a Cambridge Glass 'Two Kids' figurine. This unlikely marriage of two pieces of glass from two different continents works surprisingly well - most likely down to the fact that they were both produced in the 1930s, and that the glass is a very similar colour. It definitely helps that the imposing size of both pieces ensures one doesn't become secondary to the other.

The bowl is 30cm wide and 9cm tall, and the figurine is 23cm tall and 10cm wide at the base. when put together, the centrepiece measures 27cm tall and 30cm wide, so this is a lot of glass!

Both pieces have an excellent glow, as you'd expect from such good glassmakers. The figurine is satin and the bowl has highly detailed moulding, both of which always help with the depth of that lovely green glow.

Both the bowl and the centrepiece are in excellent condition. The bowl has no damage, just the odd gentle surface scratch here and there as you'd expect for glass of this age. The figurine has a chip low down on the frog at the front, which is hidden by the rim of the bowl - see photos.

The pieces are available for sale separately or as a set.
💚 Bowl - £56
💚 Figurine - £80
💚 Complete centrepiece - £125

Postage to be added - Royal Mail tracked services will start at £5.55. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are always available 🌍

A gorgeous (and very glowy!) rhinestone necklace!

Not all rhinestone necklaces are created equal, and this one is certainly a cut above some of the others I have seen. The articulation in the metal and the weight of it set it apart; I'd guess that this wasn't cheap when it was first bought, and as a consequence has stood the test of time very well.

The necklace is 16” long so will sit at the very base of most necks. All stones are present and correct - I have put this through the sonic cleaner to remove any dust and grime from the settings, and then have checked and tightened each one to ensure it's as wearable now as it was when it was first made.

There is some gentle wear to the gold finish on the reverse of the necklace as shown, and as is to be expected for a piece that has been worn. A few of the stones have a little foil loss, causing them to have a few dark flecks. (I've tried to show this in photos but it doesn't come up very well.) I thought initially that it was dirt, but after lifting out a stone I concluded it is deterioration due to age. There is also a tiny spot of tarnish on the clasp - see picture.

The necklace also comes in what I believe to be its original box (as found)!

£32 to include tracked UK postage. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available 💚

An adorable little Burmese toothpick holder 🩷💛

This is a very old and very cute piece or uranium, most likely by Thomas Webb, although there is no mark to the pontil to confirm that. As such, I’m guessing a date, but it’s likely to be around 1880-1890.

The piece measures 3.25” tall, with a max width of 2.75”. It glows best under 365nm light (as shown in photo 2) - I expect because it’s really quite a pink piece, with the yellow only really seen inside / at the base.

Currently it has a tiny paint spatter on the base as shown, which I’ll be removing before it goes to its new home! Otherwise, there is no damage at all which is quite impressive for a utility item approaching 150 years old.

£49 to include tracked U.K. postage. Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available 🌍

I’m just about to launch a sale on these on my Etsy shop, but before I do I thought I’d offer them here first.

These are gorgeous vintage uranium glass rivolis with a whopping 16mm diameter! Uranium gems of this size are really hard to get hold of, so I don’t expect to ever be able to restock these. They are foiled in silver to the back and super sparkly. They’re ideal for jewellery making if you’re that way inclined, but also excellent for adding to a cabinet as they’re so large!

Was £15 each plus postage, now better than half price at £10 to include tracked postage in the UK. Add on extras for £7 each.

Worldwide shipping and payment plans are available as always 💚

The studio is closed today. I was going to be there but it’s just simply too hot to not be walking around in my pants. Highs of 36° are predicted and that’s pretty miserable weather to be working on my workshop projects and doing lots of photography.

Instead I will be at home trying to stay cool, tinkering with jewellery, queuing up some nice glass for sale and making some progress on my website. I might even do some much needed paperwork. And yes, I’ll absolutely be doing it in my pants.
