A happy customer just send through this picture from her wedding. Her wedding favours were pots of homemade honey and she asked me to design bespoke tags for the jars. What a lovely original gift for her guests 🍯🐝🏷️💛

I’m so delighted with how my house portrait of Mill Cottage (former residence of George Michael) is looking in its new temporary home, The Bull in Streatley.

Bianca, the new landlady has sourced work from many different local artists and completely transformed the interior of our local pub. She has lots of new ideas and is working hard to remodel the place. I would encourage anyone local to pop in and see what she is doing.

Hello, I’m Debi 👋
I’m an illustrator and stationery designer working from my countryside studio on the edge of the Chilterns.

I’ve always been fascinated by paper. Long before I started my business, I loved discovering different textures, finishes and materials, and today I spend a surprising amount of time researching exactly the right paper and card stocks for the products I create.

Some of the papers I use are quite unusual. They contain recycled materials such as coffee waste and old denim jeans, while others are embedded with wildflower seeds so they can be planted after use and enjoyed for a little longer.

My passion is creating practical paper products that encourage meaningful communication in a world that often feels dominated by screens, emails and notifications. I believe there is still something special about putting pen to paper — whether that’s sending a thoughtful card, writing a note to a friend, or taking the time to write a proper letter.

The products I design begin with my own illustrations and are created with the hope of helping people connect, celebrate, encourage and stay in touch with those they care about.

Most of my cards start exactly like this… random little doodles in a sketchbook ✏️

Then comes the fun part — perfecting them digitally, playing with colours, moving everything around 27 times until the layout finally feels right 😅

These chickens made the cut and are now a firm favourite in my notecard collections 🐓

All my cards start their journey as doodles in a sketchbook before being developed into beautiful, affordable stationery. My inspiration often comes from the Berkshire Downs countryside where my studio overlooks The Ridgeway. And all the stationery is printed in the same tiny village, making Tall Order a true “countryside” product.
