Can you spot the alteration? 👀

This jacket needed considerably more room, so Sandra carefully cut and inserted new panels, matching them so seamlessly into the original construction that you'd never know they were there.

And there was a deadline. Its owner had a wedding to attend, so the entire alteration was completed the same day, including adding the new rank insignia.

From not fitting in the morning to wedding-ready by the end of the day.

Repair. Recut. Rebuild. Make it fit.

Every uniform tells a story but it is the details that matter!

From tired lace and uneven placement to fresh stripes and perfectly aligned ribbons and precision finished tailoring, this jacket has been transformed piece by piece.

At Tin Trousers, we don't just repair uniforms....we restore the standard they deserve!

Every medal has a story. Some are simply rarer than others.

This beautifully court mounted group includes the Royal Victorian Medal, an honour awarded personally by the Sovereign in recognition of dedicated service.

Whether we're mounting two medals or an extensive group, every ribbon is aligned by hand and every medal positioned with care and precision.

Because it's not about how many medals are on the bar.

It's about presenting every one with the respect it deserves.

Sometimes it's the finishing touches that make all the difference.

This Royal Artillery Officer's Field Cap recently passed through our workshop for alterations, ensuring the fit was as smart as the uniform it accompanies.

Military tailoring isn't always about making something new. Often it's about refining an existing garment so it fits exactly as it should.

Small adjustments. Big difference.
Because confidence starts with wearing a uniform that fits properly.

Times may change. Standards must remain.

These Ambulance Service rank slides, complete with the King's Crown, were handcrafted using the same traditional goldwork techniques we use across military and emergency service uniforms.

Every piece is built with precision, because whether it's worn on parade, at a formal event or every day on duty, the details matter.

From the Armed Forces to the Emergency Services, we're proud to create insignia that reflects the professionalism of those who wear it.

Times may change. Standards must remain.

Every great garment starts with a single cut.

Laid out on the cutting table is a beautiful piece of blue doeskin, carefully marked and ready to become another bespoke garment.

Every pattern is individually cut in-house before Sandra begins transforming it into a finished piece.

We can't wait to show you the completed garment. It's going to look incredible.

There's something rather satisfying about seeing a flat piece of cloth become a garment that will be worn with pride for years to come.

Lieutenant stripes, freshly completed by Chase. âš“

Every stripe is hand sewn using traditional stitching techniques, securing the gold lace without visible machine stitching across the face.

It's one of those details many people never notice, but it's exactly what gives a professionally tailored uniform its clean, regulation finish.

We believe military tailoring is about more than adding rank. It's about craftsmanship, precision and taking pride in every stitch.

Not every story needs a large medal bar to be extraordinary.

This elegant pair of court mounted miniatures, a Civilian OBE and The Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal, is a reminder that service and dedication come in many forms.

Whether we're mounting two medals or twenty, every set receives the same care, precision and respect.

Because it's not the number of medals that matters. It's the story behind them.

It's all in the detail. âš“

Every Royal Navy rank slide and shoulder board we make is handcrafted in our workshop using the same traditional skills, materials and techniques we use to sew gold lace onto officers' sleeves.

From the first stitch to the finished product, everything is made in house by our experienced team, ensuring every item is worthy of the uniform it's worn with.

Because standards don't stop at your sleeves.
