LET'S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS UGG BOOT RESTORATION 👀🤩

Simon got in touch to ask if I could help sort out his Ugg boots, over time and with plenty of use they had picked up some of the telltale signs of a good life. Lots of little marks, dried out suede, and some hefty creases 😅

All of the kinds of things should should have, shoes are for wearing after all - there's no sense in hiding them and not getting the best use out of them! 😎

BUT if you love a pair of shoes enough to wear them, you should probably take care of them with the same energy - which is exactly why Simon got in touch with me!

I was able to deep clean these boots, removing the stains, resetting the suede, reviving the colour, and reducing the creases. Now they look SO much more fresh 😍

Restoring a pair of shoes is the best way to extend their life! Extending their life keeps them out of landfill and saves you money against the cost of a replacement pair 🤩

A moment worth celebrating 🎉

I've saved 100 pairs of shoes from being sent to landfill this year 🎉 (...or since I started counting, so it's probably more, but that doesn't sound as good in a post does it?)

HOW? 😱
Through restoration! By taking shoes that LOOK tired and worn out, but still have life left in them, and giving them the TLC that they need to look box fresh again! 😎

WHY? 🤔
1) The UK throws away 300 million pairs of shoes every single year. I think that is such a waste of resources and I'm doing something about it.
2) Shoes deserve looking after, the more you look after them the more they'll look after you!
3) Shoes worth owning are bloody expensive, so keeping them alive longer saves you money on replacing them.
4) Fast fashion is rubbish, and having artisanal skills is very cool.
5) Love the ego boost when people say nice things about me

Second hand heroes 💪🏼😍

This pair of gorgeous sandals were purchased second-hand from a charity shop by Laura, after her turn getting some really good use out of them, they were due for a deep clean! 🪥🧼

She sent them in and I was able to deep clean the suede insoles removing the dark marks, before starting on the uppers - providing them with some conditioning and colour restoration. 😍

Buying quality shoes second hand is such a brilliant way to help the environment AND to save yourself some money. Getting them cleaned and restored makes them last EVEN longer too, which is a huge win in all departments! 🥳

BIRKENSTOCK DEEP CLEAN; 🪥🧼

The summer of Birkenstock cleans continues, I've had so many of these in this year! Birkenstocks get filthy - it's pretty much their full time job, especially under the buckles, where the metal traps dirt and leaves gorgeous grubby marks 😅

But do they have to stay like that? No they don't! 😁 DON'T LIVE IN FEAR OF ADJUSTING YOUR BUCKLE! send them to me for a deep clean!

With these I was able to get the insoles and uppers looking so much nicer - now they will last even longer! And for just £30 a Birkenstock clean beats the brakes of buying a new pair! 🥰

You WON'T BELIEVE how these turned out ➡️🤯

Joe approach me with a pair of shoes that needed to be cleaned for a wedding! They'd been to a couple of weddings previously, and had picked up the tell tale signs of a really good time 🍺

Now as a rule of thumb, you probably shouldn't try and outshine the bride, but I reckon its fair game to have nicer shoes than the groom 😜

I was able to give Joe's shoes a really good clean, remove the staining, condition the leather, and then use a mix of cream and wax polishes to get this pair looking absolutely mint again 👞🤩

This pair of Dr Martens boots had been used on a film set trudging around a Herefordshire orchard 🎬📽️ Who said showbiz was glamorous? This boots arrived covered in mud, grass, and fake blood 👀😳

But that's no problem at all for me 😎 I was able to get in there and give them a really good clean, condition, and polish, leaving them looking like the star of the show 🌟

The contrast between the stitching and leather really pops now 🤩

Superb sandal spa session 🪡🧵🥰

Mari sent in her sandals to get some TLC after being impressed with a trainer dye that I did for her 🎉 Repeat customers are the best 🥰

She asked if there was anything that I could do to help her with her sandals, where the stitching that had come loose at one of the straps 😱

I was able to whip out some needle and thread and put my recently acquired saddle stitching skills to the test - and the results speak for themselves 😎 After I was done with that it was time to give the shoes a really good clean and condition, inside and out to get them ready for the rest of the summer 🌞

CHUNKY CONVERSE RESTORATION 😍👀

This pair of converse were dropped in by Will in need of some cleaning 🧼

The uppers weren't in too bad condition, but the soles definitely needed some TLC to get them back up to their bright best 😎

I was able to step in and give them the deep clean that they needed to get them looking as good as they can, and now they're looking super again 🎉

Deeeep clean for this gorgeous Dubarry bag! 😍🎉

I'm very familiar with cleaning and repair Dubarry boots, so when Kat asked me if I could help out with her bag I was very confident that I could help out! 😎

The combination suede and nubuck bag was in need of some TLC, over time and with wear it had picked up wear and scuffs and just looked a little tired 😴 Fortunately I was able to get in there and give it a really good clean to refresh the materials, redye the areas that had faded or been scuffed off, and being the smooth leather up to a soft shine 🥰🕺🏼

ADIDAS DEEP CLEAN 🪥🧼🥰

Rebecca got in touch to see if I could help her out with her very pale suede Adidas trainers, they weren't in horrendous condition, but they definitely needed some TLC 😎

Suede is a tricky material to look after, even more so when it's in such a light colour, so regularly cleaning and caring for it is a fantastic way to avoid staining from dirt/watermarks/life in general! 🤩

I gave these a premium clean, inside and out, and now they're looking SO FRESH ❄️
