The ups and downs of Small Biz Life! ❤️💔

You never know what curve balls life will throw at you and these past couple of weeks have been no different.

We’ve had the excitement of birthdays 🎈 and the sadness of saying goodbye to our furry friend Ruby after 15 years 😢🐾

And amongst all the highs and lows, life just keeps on life-ing… the wheels have kept turning at ROR and the orders have still gone out - that’s largely thanks to our amazing Team ROR - and Ruby ✨✨✨ and you guys for supporting us! 🥹

So here’s a flick through the camera roll to see what’s been going on inside ROR HQ lately

1. Leopard print bags in the regular size are GONE and probably won’t be back until August (you can still grab an oversized one for your Hols but they are limited!)
2. Saying bye to our little bestie Ruby 🐩
3. And remembering her with a lovely card from Team ROR
4. Father’s Day prep has started and will be live this Saturday
5. We tried modelling our new matching Adult and Kods caps on Graham and our toddler Dorothy… with varied levels of success 🫣
6. A gorge pic from of her order arriving
7. Ruby on our team celebrated her birthday with us this week 🧁
8. Thoughts on our new Lemon 🍋 cap sample?!
9. Sooo many of you are choosing pink for your Year print! We are loving this trend 💕
10. Dorothy turns 3! With a trip to Zog 🐉 she loved it! We loved it more!
11. Our nephew Rafe has gotten into sketching, so we sneakily took some pictures of his artwork and turned it into an embroidered T-shirt for him ✍🏼😏👌
12. We’ve had some cool custom orders lately too (check them out on .my.brand ) we’ve had 200 printed tea towels, embroidered towels and cute merch for 😍🍪

It’s strange as we’re still getting used to life without Ruby trotting around and getting under our feet 😵‍💫 but we’re grateful to you for keeping us busy as it’s helping keep our mind off things!

Sad message incoming… 🥹

This week we said final goodbyes to our little poodle friend Ruby, who has shared our lives and our office for the past 15 years.
From tiny puppy to old lady,she was a huge part of everything we did and she will be missed SO much. 😭

When we found out this was coming, we shared it on Stories and asked for advice last week.
Your thoughtful words and kind messages were literally unbelievable. It’s taken days to get back to everyone and it meant so much that so many people took the time to share their own experiences and offer really helpful advice. 🥹🥹🥹

Sometimes we wonder if we should share stuff like this or just stick to ‘business as usual’ - but we are a small family based business and Ruby was a huge part of that,

And the reality is, it’s been hard to think about everyday things like reels and trending sounds this week when we’ve just been so sad. 😞

So we would like to say thank you for your kindness and support, it has helped so much over this last week.

A few of you asked for any helpful tips and advice to be shared, and we really got some beautiful memorial suggestions, from planting trees and framing prints to getting tattoos! 🐾

A few of you said to take as many pics as possible - the first pic above is one our toddler Dorothy took this week when I gave her free rein with my camera phone! 🥹📸

Myself, Graham and our girls are currently taking a few days off, but Team ROR will still be here to keep everything running for the next few days.

If you need anything, just message but please understand if things are a little slower temporarily at the start of next week.

Our internet friend ended a message to us with “Rock on, Ruby” ❤️🐾 and I absolutely love that 🥹🫶 it makes me think she’s running around somewhere with a bouncy tennis ball and a mountain of cheese 🧀

Remember when.. Saturday nights used to be about getting dropped off at Blockbuster, walking round for approximately 4 hours, arguing over what film to get and then panic choosing something because your dad was waiting in the car park 😭 spending the first half of the evening rewinding the video tape 🙄 and snacking on Butterkist Popcorn 🍿👌

Now it’s basically the same experience, except we do it sat on the sofa scrolling Netflix for an hour before actually pressing play.

Movie night is still elite though. ❤️ Oversized sweatshirt, G&T and allll the snacks.

I’m watching 27 Dresses tonight… what’s everyone else putting on? 🍿📺
