💚💛Just a little reminder of how amazing your tiny baby really is and why starting Baby Sensory classes early is so beneficial! 💛💚

💚Your newborn’s brain contains more than 100 billion brain cells. Synaptic connections are formed as a result of actions, events and experiences that the baby encounters from birth. These connections are strengthened whenever the newborn sees their mother’s face, hears the sound of her voice or feels the softness of her skin. Eventually, these connections will become hard wired to form memories. The majority of synaptic connections for vision, language, hearing, smell, taste, movement and learning will be formed in the first three months of life.

💛Babies need to experience shapes, colours, and objects at varying distances for the brain to learn how to see. The ‘prime time’ for visual development is from birth. Babies also need exposure to a variety of sounds from birth, so that the brain learns to process information received by the ears.

💚Baby Sensory classes provide parents with essential information, techniques, ideas for play and one-to-one activities; so that they know how to foster their baby’s learning potential from the very beginning. Stimulation from birth increases synaptic connections and neural growth. Repetition strengthens synaptic connections between the brain cells. Touching, talking, singing, reading, smiling, signing and playing with babies from birth, nourishes the brain and develops potential for a lifetime.

💛A rich environment full of interesting sights, sounds, smells, taste, colours, textures and language will build a foundation that will make all subsequent learning easier. This is why those early postnatal experiences are so important!
