Hello again….

It has been a little while since we popped up here. 

Truthfully, it has been a rather busy and chaotic season, lots of proms, countless weddings, a mind boggling amount of fittings, and a staggering amount of ‘last-minute Harry’s’ keep us on our toes.

The window has had a little refresh, with a touch of botanical abundance to see us through until September creating a luscious setting to showcase the suits.

While we are enjoying what remains of the summer, it is also a rather good time to start planning ahead.

If you have a winter wedding coming up, or you are getting married in early 2027, now is the perfect opportunity to start thinking about what you will be wearing.

The earlier we start, the more time we have to explore fabrics, colours, details and all the little things that make an outfit feel completely yours, without the constant nagging from your partner, OR the last minute rush. 

Consider this as a little sign to get booked in and we will take care of the rest.

We created what Ai could never do,

When the awesome Jo & Matt came to us, they arrived armed with something that would often make our eyes roll… an AI-generated concept of a wedding dress. But made from tweed ( we do love our tweed)

It was bold, Unconventional, and exactly the kind of uniqueness we love.

What began as a digital idea soon became hand-drawn sketches, countless conversations, fittings, pattern cutting, and hours of meticulous hand craftsmanship to create something as unique and as incredible as Jo.

Alongside the bride’s truly one-of-a-kind tweed wedding dress, we also created the groom’s beautifully crafted suit, ensuring both garments complemented one another perfectly while reflecting their individual personalities.

Every stitch, every fitting, every detail of the dress and accessories were made by hand here in our workshop.

It’s a reminder that the most extraordinary garments don’t begin with fabric, they begin with imagination.

To this incredible couple, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your story. It has been an absolute privilege to bring your vision to life.

What started as an AI-generated image became something far more meaningful: a garment that will forever hold memories, crafted to be unlike anything else.

Some weddings just have their own personality... and this was definitely one of them.

From the moment I arrived at the amazing Mallyan Spout Hotel , I knew this wasn't going to be your average wedding day. Their amazing vintage-inspired outfits designed and created by the wonderful DandyThreads looked absolutely at home in Goathland, and everywhere we wandered seemed to fit the story they wanted to tell.

We couldn't resist a stroll through the village, a stop at the famous kissing gate (because you have to kiss at a kissing gate! - or so I was told!), and of course a visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway . A huge thank you to the NYMR for allowing us to capture a few photographs around the station—it added the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable day.

My favourite weddings are the ones that reflect the couple's personalities, and this one did exactly that. Relaxed, fun, full of laughter, and completely unique. It's days like these that remind me every wedding has its own story... and this one was an absolute joy to tell.

As May draws to a close and Pride Month begins, it feels only fitting to celebrate one of the most joyful weddings we’ve had the privilege of being part of.
 
Meet Zak & Ben.
 
When they first came to us, they had a clear vision for their wedding day but were struggling to find anyone who could bring it to life. Thankfully, they found us and after multiple 4-hour round trips (with mum proudly serving as designated driver), the journey began.
 
From the very first sketch to the final fitting, every appointment was filled with ideas, creativity, laughter, and more than a few memorable conversations.
 
Together, we created two completely bespoke wedding looks for their big day at The Plaza, Stockport. Every detail was carefully considered and handcrafted specifically for them.
 
As designers themselves, Zak & Ben even created their own lining design, which tied the entire look together beautifully and brought an incredible sense of personality to each garment.
 
And the wedding photographs?
 
Pure magic.
 
Full of colour, energy, love, and joy. A reminder that weddings should never be about fitting into a mould, they should be a reflection of the people at the heart of them.
 
For us, creating an inclusive and welcoming experience isn’t a marketing statement for us, it’s something deeply personal. We understand that many same-sex couples still worry about how they’ll be received when planning their wedding, and we believe finding the right people to help bring your vision to life should never be one of those worries.
 
Whoever you are, whoever you love, and whatever your vision may be, our door is always open.
 
We’re incredibly grateful to have played a small part in Zak & Ben’s story and wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Some visions arrive fully formed,
Others begin as fragments, a vibe, a colour scheme, a theme.

When Jack & Spencer came to us, they had the seed of something special, but no clear way to bring it to life.

Together, we refined it and brought it to life.
A bold floral concept, designed to weave every colour of their day into one cohesive story.
Printed across a mix of fabrics, each piece, waistcoat, shirt, accessories carefully crafted to both of them.

Resulting in the incredible finished pieces, as unique and outgoing as the couple themselves.
This is what we love most, taking an idea that feels just out of reach, and turning it into something tangible, personal and entirely unforgettable.

A decade of Dandy Threads.

It started in a small upstairs space…
just an idea, a belief in doing things properly, and a passion for dressing people in something that felt like them.

10 years on, that little room has grown into something we could never have fully imagined.
An incredible store.
Thousands of clients, from all corners of the world.
Five consecutive years as winners of the North of England Wedding Awards.
And collections of our own design, brought to life.

But beyond the milestones, it’s the people.
The trust you’ve placed in us.
The moments we’ve been part of… weddings, celebrations, memories that matter.

That’s what this has always been about.

If you’d told us 10 years ago where we’d be today, we probably wouldn’t have believed you.

But we’d have hoped for it.

As a family, we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been built
