Some visions arrive fully formed,
Others begin as fragments, a vibe, a colour scheme, a theme.

When Jack & Spencer came to us, they had the seed of something special, but no clear way to bring it to life.

Together, we refined it and brought it to life.
A bold floral concept, designed to weave every colour of their day into one cohesive story.
Printed across a mix of fabrics, each piece, waistcoat, shirt, accessories carefully crafted to both of them.

Resulting in the incredible finished pieces, as unique and outgoing as the couple themselves.
This is what we love most, taking an idea that feels just out of reach, and turning it into something tangible, personal and entirely unforgettable.

Today, we turn 10.

A decade of Dandy Threads.

It started in a small upstairs space…
just an idea, a belief in doing things properly, and a passion for dressing people in something that felt like them.

10 years on, that little room has grown into something we could never have fully imagined.
An incredible store.
Thousands of clients, from all corners of the world.
Five consecutive years as winners of the North of England Wedding Awards.
And collections of our own design, brought to life.

But beyond the milestones, it’s the people.
The trust you’ve placed in us.
The moments we’ve been part of… weddings, celebrations, memories that matter.

That’s what this has always been about.

If you’d told us 10 years ago where we’d be today, we probably wouldn’t have believed you.

But we’d have hoped for it.

As a family, we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been built
and we’re only just getting started.

Can you believe how quickly easter has come around this year? Doesn’t seem five minutes since it was Christmas!

Here are our opening hours for the weekend,

Good Friday- closed
Saturday- 10am-5pm
Easter Sunday- closed (to indulge in copious amounts of chocolate)
Bank holiday Monday- Closed (like all Mondays)
Tuesday- normal hours resume

The most surprising trend of the season so far?

Leopard print.

And not just a hint of it…
I’m talking full commitment.

It’s quietly crept into the wedding world and, somehow, taken it by storm.
From statement dinner jackets to full three-piece suits… even the occasional bridal moment (yes, really).

At first, I thought it was a one-off.
Then another request came in… and another… and another.

It seems the modern wedding is leaning further into personality over tradition, and for some, subtle just isn’t cutting it anymore.

Classic black tie?
Still timeless.

But leopard print?
Apparently… the new neutral.

Would you dare wear it on your wedding day — or is this a step too far?

As an independent business, “No Shows” hit us hard. When a booking is missed without notice, it’s not just an empty slot, it’s an appointment another client would have liked, and let’s be brutally honest, it’s a loss of earnings.

We love what we do and we have always kept our consultations free and accessible, but this may have to change if people don’t respect our time and dedication.

If you can’t make it, just a quick call or an email ideally 24 hours before, will allow us to offer that time to someone else wanting to use our services. (We don’t bite, we understand things happen)
