Another day, another amazing transformation!

Jenny didn’t have long before her wedding to choose her gown, and as much as she loved the dress she really wanted long lace sleeves. It turned out, when we were chatting and discussing her design ideas, that she’d always wanted a gown with a full lace neckline too…..so, of course we set to work! 🪡🧵

We loved creating Jenny’s dream gown, she never once questioned the process, just trusted us to get it done, and wow what an outcome!

‘Hi Alex ..I can’t thank you enough again for doing the alterations to my wedding dress it was simply perfect and better than I could have imagined .. you totally got it !! Felt so good in it all day !! You did such an amazing job .. got a few photos if any are any good to you .. my before alterations photos are a bit rubbish but you’ve got them if they’re useful

Here’s the beautiful Ashleigh in her stunning gown ❤️ which we sized down, b***d and shortened, as well as adding bustles to the train for the evening celebrations! Huge congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you so much for letting us be part of your wedding ☺️

This one is a little overdue…..but, she deserved a proper write up!

Georgie came to me from recommendation by her mum and all her sisters (who had all previously been my brides 🥰). Her bridal journey wasn’t straight forward, during her styling appointment at Limelight Occasions she fell in love with a sweetheart neckline and drop sleeve from another gown, but actually preferred the silhouette and ornate detailing of this gown. With the help of her bridal stylist Occasions, Georgie was able to envisage her chosen gown, with the customisation.

The scoop neck wasn’t flattering for Georgie’s figure, and the shoestring straps weren’t supportive enough or detailed enough for her overall look. So with some inspo pics as reference we set to work, completely re-shaping the bodice, adding lots of boning for support and made some beautiful drop sleeves ❤️

After a few fittings and the front being just perfect, Georgie felt the back wasn’t quite right, so we set to it, to higher the back corset…..

As we make our way through our summer 2026 brides, we start thinking ahead to what the following year holds….

Booking for 2027 weddings is now open, and I have to say WOW, how many amazingly super organised brides have already been in touch!

We highly recommend getting your place booked early…..this year I have turned away an unprecedented amount of last minute brides or those that haven’t been advised to book their seamstress early. Don’t let that be you!

I often say that I get the loveliest brides, and it’s true!

This gorgeous lady wasn’t a bride of mine for alterations but she wanted her gown cleaned and boxed so here we are ❤️ one happy bride and mum later!

This gown wasn’t a simple clean, it was a complex gown with lots of details, silk elements and zibeline lining, so needed lots of TLC, and a gentle touch. I’m thrilled with how she turned out, but most importantly of all, so is the bride ❤️

You love your gown, but something feels slightly off….

Sometimes it can be the dress of your dreams but there’s just a little something that isn’t quite right! In this case the sweetheart neckline just wasn’t the right cut for my bride, she preferred a straighter neckline. Due to the bodice depth and generous cups we were able to lower it and create the new neckline.

She’s off for a special bridal clean now as she was an off the peg gown, once she’s back we’ll post pics or her looking crisp and clean 😍
