What if an everyday object could tell your story?

Take a look at these brilliant “story vases” created during our free art class!

Inspired by artist Grayson Perry, each piece transforms a simple cardboard vase into something completely unique—filled with memories, humour, symbols, favourite things and personal stories.

✂️ Open to all abilities
🖌️ Creative, relaxed and welcoming
💭 No previous art experience needed

You decide how personal your creation becomes. Your story can be real, imagined, exaggerated or completely fictional!

🎨 CAN YOU HELP US FILL THIS BOOKSHELF? 🎨

We’re looking for the first local artists and makers to join our new Community Art Shelf at the LAMH Charity Shop in Hamilton.

Submit up to three small original artworks to be displayed in our busy shop and offered completely free to people in the community.

As one of our first featured artists, your work will receive:

✨ An artist card with your name and creative profile
📱 A link or QR code to your social media or website
📸 Promotion across our own social-media channels

We welcome small paintings, prints, crochet, textiles, ceramics, woodcraft and other handmade creations. Pieces must be safe, suitable and small enough to fit comfortably on a bookshelf.

Could your artwork be among the first to fill these shelves?

📚 Maximum three submissions per artist
🎁 All artwork will be gifted to the community free of charge

🎨 Creativity without limits!

On Saturday, our art group explored the bold and expressive world of Picasso, creating these fantastic Cubist-inspired portrait masks. Each piece is completely unique, reflecting the imagination, confidence and individuality of its creator.

Art is about so much more than the finished piece. It’s about building confidence, connecting with others, trying something new and enjoying the creative process. We think our participants did an amazing job! 🌈

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a colourful and inspiring session. We can’t wait to see what we’ll create together next.
