Join Hattie Lockhart-Smith to create a selection of beautiful botanical prints using the fun technique of Gelli Plate Printing.

Gelli plate printing is a fun and versatile form of mono-printing that uses a soft, reusable plate made from a gel-like substance. Suitable for all abilities, this playful session on 13th September encourages exploration and creativity enabling you to make a variety of unique prints.

Our Building Colour Confidence sessions were really popular with folk at the Festival of Quilts!

Colour is a huge topic and for a lot of people, it can be intimidating. In this workshop on 1st September, you’ll be introduced to colour theory, experiment with practical exercises and get lots of inspiration for future projects.

“I started the morning with absolutely no self belief in choosing colour and by the end I was really proud of what I had put together. The practical exercises were brilliant in putting theory into practice and allowed us to try out different combinations.”

With temperatures set to rise again next week, maybe you need an indoor activity to keep the kids busy?!

There was a lovely group in the studio this morning for our Beginners’ Crochet workshop. It’s always a joy to get people going on their crochet journey - and we get some great reviews too!

The summer holidays are just around the corner and we have some great sewing sessions to keep your youngsters busy.

Join the lovely Beth Powers Beth Power | Embroidery Artist for this Seaside Stitchscapes workshop to create a unique textured hoop embroidery with a coastal feel.

In this class on 25th July you will learn the basics of layering fabrics to create a tactile background, add hand embroidery and be shown some different ways of attaching shells through stitching. All materials are included but feel free to bring along any beach-combing finds to make your creation extra special.

Join us to have a go at Punch Needle art - a simple form of embroidery which uses a tool to punch loops of yarn into your fabric.

In this workshop with Lucy Lucy Rowan on 2nd July, you will learn how to transfer a design onto fabric and make different effects and textures. You’ll take home a beautifully created punch needle artwork and be inspired to make more.
