• WAVES • Dreaming of ripples and waves. The summer's rosy glow is weaving it's warmth into these Blanket Scarves of British wool, made in mind with the cooler days to come.

Meanwhile, I'll be weaving in the heat, and dreaming of immersing myself in the river's mouth, come the end of this weaving day.

• CRAFT LEGACIES • I am delighted to share with you that this weekend, the exhibition Craft Legacies will open for the summer in Surrey. Celebrating traditional and endangered craft skills at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham.

You will find a selection of my handwoven rare breed British wool Adornments and Interiors, each traditionally made in Cornwall on my beautiful Dobby loom built by tallship rigger, Eric Henry.

It is a joy to be exhibiting alongside such exciting contemporaries. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the work of friends , Braided Grain (Lu Towle) and Rosa Harradine | Broom & Brush Maker!

This curation is especially close to my heart as it also encompasses many crafts that are considered to be at-risk by Heritage Crafts

Visit from Saturday 4th July until 5th September.

• OCHRE • Celebrating Nature's beauty is about holding space for wildness, it's in our nature. It's about rejoicing in undyed wool, in all of the gorgeous subtle tones of our British rare breeds such as this rich peaty brown Jacob's fleece.

However, I do love to sing of the palette in our surrounding landscapes, and ochre is one that I occasionally extract botanically. Colour like the setting sun.

This gorgeous warm copper is sourced from the skins of brown onions collected over many months from my kitchen. I've been saving it, and now I have just the thing.

Now woven into the weft of a new piece on its way, slowly, soon.

• GLAS • Cornish for ‘ the indescribable blue, grey, green of the sea’ - in form of a one-of-a-kind Blanket. This one is a new addition, and I'm delighted to introduce you.

Handwoven of purely undyed British wool, rare breeds, soft undyed Blue-faced Leicester and pure Shetland, made in Cornwall on an in-house designed Dobby loom.

× Calling upon the wild seascapes for palette and pattern,
The undulation of herringbone, echoes the oceans tides,
Each contrasting line through the warp, symbolises currents, cycles,
That sculpt us and the shore all around us ×

• DEMO • Take a peep inside my Handweaving Studio, on this swift tour to lure you in this weekend!

I shall be demonstrating weaving on my homemade Dobby loom this Saturday and Sunday, so do come along and explore. The little loom is setup incase you'd like to try your hand at weaving too!

A little hello • from Bran and I

How do you do? A little about me? I am a Cornish handloom weaver. I weave to celebrate natural fibres, slow and conscienscously-made goods. My speciality is Handwoven Textile Interiors and Adornments of pure British wool. I love to weave with Rare Breeds and a natural undyed palette in traditional patterns.

The loom upon which I weave, was designed and made for me by my partner Eric, a tall ship rigger, adding an extra magic to every unique piece. Each made to be treasured and enjoyed, for every day and life's rituals.

I love my loom. It offers me a way of singing about my surroundings in a timeless tangible way ~ of Tide, Tor and Folklore.

When I am not weaving, I work for this wonderful charity Heritage Crafts, as their Grants and Awards Officer, advocating for makers across the UK. (Check us out!) Otherwise I'm out walking/ singing with Bran, or trying to grow vegetables and flowers.
