Calling upon rugged landscapes for palette and pattern,
Undulations of plaited twill echo the layers of rock deep in ore and high on carn,
Veins of minerals, weave through the earth, and sculpt the land around us.

Handwoven of 100% Cornish wool, undyed rare breed Jacob - raised, milled, spun and handwoven entirely in Cornwall × One of a kind.

Made on my fully manual in-house designed and built eight-shaft Dobby loom, by my partner, a tall ship rigger.

Sailed in from far to trade for tin,
Between Kernewek and Phoenician.

From The Land Of Lyonesse series ~ A small new collection of Blanket Scarves, bravely stepping out into the world, inspired by ancient trade routes, boundless frontiers and vast open horizons.

This one is a one of a kind, with in-house plant-dyed weft, and favourite deadstock blues/ natural undyed warp: 100% British wool.

Inspiration gathered from the far western reaches of Cornwall, for my unique handwoven adornments, made with age old analog methods on a homemade loom.

Lyonesse - imagining a kingdom under the waves, storms over the surface, white horses raging, calm waters waiting, boding monochrome skies, deep swirling blues, feeling alive when out in the elements.

• CURATED • There's just a few days to catch the summer exhibitions at New Ashgate Gallery.

Amongst them you will find a selection of my own made British Wool traditionally handloom woven Interiors and Blanket Scarves, within the Craft Legacies showcase.

Each piece made in precious one-offs on my homemade Dobby loom in Cornwall. It's the first time my work has been exhibited outside of the southwest - Very exciting for little ol' me!

But don't worry if you don't catch it this time, then you'll just have to come find me in my studio in Cornwall! Or perhaps I'll be back, that'd be nice!

• CRAFT LEGACIES • I am delighted to share with you that this weekend, the exhibition Craft Legacies will open for the summer in Surrey. Celebrating traditional and endangered craft skills at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham.

You will find a selection of my handwoven rare breed British wool Adornments and Interiors, each traditionally made in Cornwall on my beautiful Dobby loom built by tallship rigger, Eric Henry.

It is a joy to be exhibiting alongside such exciting contemporaries. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the work of friends , Braided Grain (Lu Towle) and Rosa Harradine | Broom & Brush Maker!

This curation is especially close to my heart as it also encompasses many crafts that are considered to be at-risk by Heritage Crafts

Visit from Saturday 4th July until 5th September.

Thank you New Ashgate Gallery for dreaming up such a special gathering.
