I haven’t shared these on here for a while- but here’s my dig into how to shop the summer sales- with no bargain bin trawling involved .

I've said it several times before, me and the sales are not great friends. The IRL 'last chance' racks? Not for me. But that's not to say I don't like a bargain. I LOVE a bargain- particularly when I feel like I'm getting something high quality that I can't usually afford. Last week's edit looked at...

This dress is probably my longest term relationship: around 25 years and second hand in the first place. It has has stuck with me through three pregnancies, multiple style directions, and various travels around the world; It’s an old friend. And yet my mum looked at me incredulously when I suggested trying to mend it. ‘Just buy another’. Today I’m talking about ditching this ‘throw it away’ culture we grew up with- highlighting some excellent companies who can help with all our clothes maintenance needs: from the jumper full of moth holes to the designer bag that’s been shoved under the table in a dirty pub once too often. So don’t ‘just buy another’.
Ps I’ve forgotton to post these on Facebook for a while but if you subscribe at annabelkerman.com/subscribe you’ll get a weekly blog delivered to your inbox for a Sunday morning read x

I've always liked to create memories with clothes. (In fact 'what was I wearing' is the main way my brain recalls life events.) However my clothing maintenance skills have never been as committed. I've worn a band t-shirt until riddled with holes, that I have tried to pass off as rock n roll rather....

This weeks edit- I’m delving into the fabulousness of the boutique preloved site- curated by brilliant creatives so we don’t have to do the trawling. What are you waiting for.

We all know we should be introducing preloved into our wardrobes. The Economic Times reported this week that we should buy a maximum of five new items a year if we are to combat global warming. (Collective gulp). But even with the best will in the world, if we don't have easy go to's for 'non new' b...

Todays blog gives us an option for a simple New Years resolution that doesn’t involve any messy soul searching - to trade up some fast fashion for one of these lovely small independents - that incidentally are all female lead 💪🏻

It's January- Who else's inclination to shop is zero, hasn't washed their hair all week and whose kids have started mentioning they've worn the same outfit for three days? (Maybe just me then) The point is that clothes buying is currently likely to be lower on the radar for most. Which makes now the...

My first blog of the year looks at how to make the January Sales work hard for us rather than becoming a church hall jumble sale style grab and go frenzy. (plus thirty of my curated faves)

I LOVE a Christmas gift guide- but often find when shopping on a budget for my entire extended family I can only afford a set of two napkins or one tapered candle from them . So this week on my blog I’ve curated 80 meaty, substantial gifts for under £30 , plus there’s even the option of doubling up and still staying in budget. Hope it’s helpful- link in stories and in my bio. I’m off to buy most of it and tell .andrew to buy me the rest £30 #

It's the universal quandry of Christmas gifting: we need to stick to a budget due to extended family and friend purchasing, but we want our nearest and dearest to feel like we're spoiling them. We need budget but luxe inspiration. I sometimes find that gift guides are beautiful to look at, but when....

Latest blog post - the ‘Extra’ winter coat: no longer the functional staple that we used to dig out each year when the temperature dropped. These days our coat is a key part of our outfit ( yes it’s an outfit) see my blog for 50 suggestions that are anything but boring, and why I christened my university throw over everything coat Ratty 😳

If you still haven’t got the memo, sequin trousers are now officially ESSENTIAL kit. Todays blog gives some inspo - from high street to high end, plus how we should dress them down for 2022 and me inadvertently discovering the joys of the sequin trouser at an Elvis fancy dress party. Image from a ‘wallflower’ shoot I styled this year for with fabulous and (yes you can wear your sequins with slippers too)

The sequin trouser. The item you hadn't realised you needed in your winter wardrobe, but (in case you missed the memo) is now officially ESSENTIAL. I bought a pair that hung in my wardrobe for several seasons before I took them for a ride at an Elvis fancy dress party and realised they were inadvert...

Personalised and customised fashion. It’s a thing- and not just for luxury brands. See this weeks blog for my current affordable favourites, including the £15 High Street tshirt with bespoke name embroidery that went straight in my (and my sister’s) shopping basket. Plus how I out Annie-d Little Orphan Annie when I was eight years old.

When I was eight my mum ironed ‘A.n.n.i.e’ in red velvet initials onto a white T-shirt for me, as part of a 'Little Orphan Annie' fancy dress outfit . I was MADE for this role, boasting a hairdo that was more Annie than actual Annie, and the name to match. (I know- spooky) Needless to say I wore...
