Wow sorry for being quieter on here lately but July has been another manic month!

Today we said goodbye to the last of the groups that have been with us all week all baking in the sunshine with lots and lots of activities! Thank you so much for visiting Boyd

We will be a lot quieter in August as our fantastic volunteers take more of a break (or are on Scout camp)

From Monday we hand our site over to our regular booking Tokonatsu for their festival, if you haven’t been before have a look at their page and see what it’s all about

Thank you again to everyone that’s helped over the last few weeks and another bigg thank you to Henlow Events for their kind donation that we put towards our new shed that has been finished off this morning, this will make so much difference although adds a few more jobs to the list!

What fantastic weather the groups staying on site with us this week are having

Lots of fun and laughter fuelled by sweets from the tuck shop no doubt as they enjoyed a little shop this evening

The last week before the shop closes for the Summer break

The uniform and badge shop is open tonight 7-8.30pm for all of your uniform needs, remember you can try uniform on which you cant do when you order online plus you are supporting our District and campsite, all profits go back in to Boyd!

We accept card and cash, unfortunately we are no longer able to accept cheques due to banking closures and restrictions.

Unfortunately following advice from Fire and Rescue, with immediate effect all fires and charcoal BBQs will not be permitted until further notice at Boyd campsite

Only cooking on gas, raised off the floor and in a well ventilated area is allowed.

We have now also entered into a hosepipe ban in the Bedfordshire area. Groups will only be permitted to use water pistols or sponges filled from a bucket if they need to do so.

We understand this may bring a few challenges and changes to your programme, but safety is our priority as ever and all bookings before the end of August will be contacted directly as soon as possible

We will communicate again if any situation changes.

Our Cubs a cross the District are doing fantastic on their challenge today despite the heat

A special thanks to our fantastic crazy leaders who are doing the whole route!

All to celebrate 110 years of Cubs and to help us fundraise for our new accessible toilet block
