BOILING!!!! But started photographing and listing stock on eBay and Vinted, planing on about 100 items over the next week and then a bit of a lie down to recover.

New stock incoming! Set of iconic 1967 bark texture Whitefriars glasses designed by Geoffrey Baxter, and a set of the more commercial Ravenhead bark-effect range from the 1970s.

The difference between the two is quality. Whitefriars pieces are hand-blown into a mould, creating crisp and deep textures and a concave pontil mark on the base. Ravenhead pieces are mass-produced machine pressed glass which are softer and shallower in texture.

Pricewise, one Whitefriars tumbler will cost about the same as a set of 6 Ravenhead glasses - approx. £12-15.

These ‘hopefully’ should get listed next week as I’m planning a mammoth photography session. I must have 100+ pieces of new stock to list including glass, ceramics, paintings and furniture. Fun times.

It’s rare I buy anything without knowledge or research but occasionally i’ll go off piste - hence this. This is the strangest thing I’ve bought for a while. It’s a fairly substantial resin cast painted to look like bronze, the signature is illegible - if it is a signature? Still researching but I’ve not found another one yet. Any ideas?

Having no phone or internet at home (I’m working from a lay-by atm 😂) means I’m getting stuff done. Made a very loud shade for this very purple lamp yesterday.

Taking Tuesday/ Wednesday off because I can. See you Thursday…

If you see me sat in a lay-by over the next couple of days don’t worry - I’ve not fallen out with Matt, we’ve no mobile signal or wifi at home so I’ll be utilising 4G.

Obviously not been able to list anything, but picked up a few interesting (and heavy 😂) pieces over the last couple of days including; a mid century nest of Westmorland slate tables, a cast iron eagle, a Rex sewing table, a miniature camera shaped lighter, a couple of slate clocks, a crochet lampshade, a Jersey Pottery lamp, a set of Hornsea canisters and an unusual brutalist sculpture. Random 😂

If you want to buy anything before I list, send a message by carrier pigeon 🐦🪶

Morning, I don’t know if there’s anyone who can help me with this problem? I’ve bought a nice McIntosh Triform coffee table but the bracket which fixes and swivels the top is missing. Has anyone got any idea what this looks like or where I can get one?

Thanks everyone, Becx

Nipped out for a couple of hours last night to collect a bit of stock - a lot of lighting as usual. Pair of contemporary Mantra Pop lamps, an Uncle Bulgaria Womble lamp, a Madonna and child plaque by Adam Dworski for Wye Pottery, a couple of small spun fibreglass shades, a religious german cast bronze plaque and a 70s aluminium light fitting.

Hoping to get the time next week to start listing online but if there’s anything you fancy in the meantime just get in touch 😁

Unless you think beige and peach are exciting, the 1986 catalogue is pretty uninspiring. There’s the odd iconic chair or lamp to keep an eye out for, but not much else. Pretty dull compared to their 1970s offerings.

New stock! Employed free labour (the retired parents) to collect this classic E1027 Eileen Gray style adjustable side table for me. Not an original piece and a few scratches to glass, but it’s got the look. It didn’t cost me a great deal and I won’t be looking for huge money either.

Quality over quantity this week. Picked up a few bits of stock over the last couple of days. Also got a couple of lamps but they’re already with the restorer. So, any idea what piece I’m planning to keep for a little while (apart from Margo 🐈)?

Internet sales are a bit slow atm (holidays/ football and the heat I expect) so I’ll be keeping this and the last couple of hauls for shows at the end of August and into September. I’ll post dates/ venues when I’m organised enough to book them 😁
