Soo we did a class using the pattern from and we love it this is the first to be finished by the lovely gill and she loves it am sure you will agree she looks absolutely fabulous made in our viscose linen

So our class on Saturday is to make this very cute shopping/beach bag ready for you shopping or Holiday we have a couple of spaces left come and join us for a days making. It’s a beginner class so if you just started your sewing journey set yourself up for success.

This came up on my memories and I thought I would share a bit about the story behind it.
When I first moved to new mills I had just had my leg rebuilt( yes I am a bionic woman) I needed to meet people and make friends so I started a sewing bee, it must be at least was 20 years ago. One of the ladies who came was being a matron of honour at her daughter’s wedding and all the dresses she found were not in her size or were not her style so she found a pattern and under guidance she made this dress and she loved it it fitted well and made her feel like her.
So if you want to start your sewing journey take the first step and book on a class you will never look back.
Mindful, absorbing and rewarding.

What do you all think of a class to show you how to clean your sewing machine properly. One of the things I notice most is how much fluff is in ppls machines and they don’t know how to stop and clean them.

This is next Saturdays class another beginner class and if ur scared of your Overlocker this is the class for you. Using a mix of Overlocker and regular sewing machine will give you confidence in your Overlocker and learn how to handle knitted fabrics and the correct interfacing to use with knits. It’s a really pretty usefull tee shirt

If you did our overlocker class this a natural next step. Learn what interfacing to use with knitted fabrics and all about maraflex thread. We have one place left on our beginner Albie class learn patch pockets. Insert pockets and a foldover elasticated waist. Make them in striped linen ( mine are in progress) or make them in shorts perfect for this hot weather

A great summer trouser pattern. Whats not to like elasticated waist pockets make shots or long trousers make them as pjs or make in a linen.
