I like a bit of bling and bought this top secondhand but it didn’t fit me properly, so I thought why not try and upcycle it. I knew it needed dark prints and blackberry leaves are perfect for that. All picked from the hedges in my garden and I love how it turned out, shame it doesn’t fit me! This will be on the rails this coming weekend Found Festival along with lots more botanically printed clothing. I won’t be posting much over the next few days as I get packed and ready to go and set up on Wednesday. If any of my lovely followers are coming do come and say hi. 🍁🍁

Finally I’ve made a fabric bracelet! Something I have wanted to do for ages. With the help of an excellent YouTube tutorial from Mira I made cordage with my naturally dyed silk scraps and created this bracelet with a bit of added crochet of course! This one is mine and looks great layered with other bangles. I have more cordage and scraps to make more! 😊.

Maggie May popped into the garden to model the bundled dyed dress from my last reel! she is also wearing a new silk neck scarf, dyed with flowers and crocheted on one end. The silk was leftover from a dress I repurposed. The dress fits Maggie well so I expect she will be showing it off Found Festival which is less than two weeks away now. I’m going to be a busy bee this week! 🐝 I’m also excited to be seeing Elephant Sessions again at Found. 🎶

Posting this early today because I’m very lucky to be accompanying Mum on a short cruise, first stop will be the Isles of Scilly. I’m looking forward to visiting Tresco Abbey Gardens. This is the last of the scrap silk, printed this time with a mix of Coreopsis and Cosmos from my own gardens. Off to finish packing 😁🚢.

This piece of silk is even more beautiful now it has been washed and dried, it’s really hard to capture the magic within it! I may be a little absent from social media while I spend time with my Mum enjoying these warm summer days. ☀️.

Starting my fingerless gloves early this year, as they were such in demand at my markets last year! These have been dyed with St John’s Wort flowers which is one of my favourite dyes to use, I was expecting a bright green but got this mauve/brown colour and modified the other pair with iron to get this khaki green. Love both colours and will be going out to forage for some more flowers.
