Hi I’m Sarah and l founded Sole of Summer last year. Whilst espadrilles are a traditional summer shoe l take great pleasure in wearing them all year (avoiding wet raining days of course!). I don’t follow the rules!

Not when it comes to fashion. It’s my style. My way.

Comfort is so important but I won’t let that get in the way of dressing up.

As we transition into autumnal clothes my espadrilles won’t be relegated to the wardrobe until next summer. Nope!

I continue to wear them on the dry days. (Espadrilles don’t like rain!). They perfect with layered outfits and trousers.

Autumnal weddings through to black tie parties they’re comfortable and glam for these occasions.

My secret to still looking DRESSY & GLAM.

I’m an unapologetic over dresser. Get togethers with friends calls for dressing up but I can’t wear high heels these days.

SO…

I swap my heels for wedge espadrilles in the summer.

Late summer they’re perfect with jeans. GLAM AND COMFY! perfect for a girls get together.

An appreciation of how a pair of shoes can finish an outfit was turned into researching “where do espadrilles come from” and now here we are.

A pair of well made, comfortable shoes is so important to a great outfit and when they’re limited editions they add that extra ‘cherry on top’ to a make a great outfit.
