I’d love to tell you I’m a visionary sculptor, but mostly I’m just a man who found a log full of dirt. 🛠️🤷♂️
When this tree came down, the middle had essentially turned into high-quality compost. Seriously, I could’ve grown prize-winning leeks in there. Most sensible people would’ve seen a rotten mess and reached for the matches.
Naturally, I decided to spend hours of my life fighting it with a chisel instead.
I’m currently digging out the "heart" to see if there’s actually a basket in here or if I’m just making a very expensive pile of woodchips. It’s a lot of material to remove, and I’m mostly just following the wood’s lead—mainly because the wood is bigger than me and won't listen anyway.
It’s going to be a Stormwood original for sale eventually. That is, assuming I don't accidentally carve a hole straight through the bottom.
Fancy owning a piece of woodland history that I’ve spent way too much time arguing with? Keep an eye out. Or just tell me I’m mad in the comments.
