Well it’s a busy week of events for me! On Sunday 2nd of August you can find me once again at the Festival of Classic and Sports Cars at Helmingham Hall near Stowmarket. Pop along to see some stunning vehicles and also browse the many stalls. Don’t forget the stunning gardens too! A lovely day out for all.

I want to tell you about Jane Scates

Jane started crocheting at her kitchen table during her recovery from breast cancer treatment in 2020. She just wanted something to focus on while she got better. She never planned to make it a business. She never thought she was good enough to teach people. And when I suggested she come to a networking event, her first reaction was: I’m not big enough for that.

This year, Jane handed in her notice as a teaching assistant.

She now runs The Little Crochet Den full time. Making, selling, teaching, travelling to events across the country. All from something that started as a hobby at her kitchen table during one of the hardest times of her life.

Four and a half years. One tiny step at a time. 💛

This week on the podcast Jane and I had the most honest conversation about what it really looks like to turn a hobby into a business. Why imposter syndrome nearly stopped her at every single turn. And why she did it all anyway.
